Yep Alastair,Tassie's roads(the place-not the bloke, mind you with his collection he's probably paid enough rego to have paid for most of the roads there)are to those who have driven them,as Goodwood Revival is to the rest of the classic motoring world,(having been fortunate enuff to have done both,in anger as far as Tassy is concerned).

Mind you the weather can also be inclement at times,I know I've slip-slided my way around a few times.

Wayne,I've PM'd you God's email re updating the register(I'm sure you have it anyway)

Wow! Wayne, that blu really is scuro! Looks nero, particularly in the first photo. I assume that the colour you report is on the paint plaque? Very glad to see it as it is the first time I've ever seen or heard about another blu scuro Ferrari reported. I acquired an F355 berlinetta last August in 'blu scuro micalizzato' - a perfectly luscious colour.

    Alastair,
An offer too good to miss, almost.
The 400iGT came from up your side of the border too. Black. Still picking thistles out of it.
Won't be long before all the good cars from Pommieland will be vacuumed to the land of convicts (otherwise known as God's Own Country) where they will live happily ever after.

Was there any heather attached to the front? Thats going back to some historic (60s 70s maybe) photos ive seen where Scottish holidaying cars would put some clippings of heather and attach them to the radiator grill.

Apart from that ime still going to turn you in to the EU UK World UN Ferrari best collection in the world police
squad and hope that they let you off on reasonable grounds of too much of a perfect thing offence No 47B

What a collection and further more all the way to Tasmania

    Regards
    Alastair

You'd be surprised at the motoring content of our country.....you'd be even MORE surprised/shocked at the stuff that's been let go over the past 15 years.

A small amount of re-dress has been going on in the past 2-3 years, with the strong Aussie $,but nothing like the preceeding losses.

Amen to that Simon. Some magnificent machines have fled our shores, being partially made up for with quantity of nice stuff, we are still on the debit side by a long way though.
Now, where are the other RHD 400 GT's?

#22569 : is the blu scuro its original color ? Surely repainted because the glasurit code has appeared on the 83' 400i. Before PPG and Duco were paints used.

Where are the others ? Well...
    -dismantled for parts,
    -accidented and broken,
-dismantled for replicas : daytonas, 250 TR, 330 P4, Mille Miglia Sbarro...
    -hidden in barns,
-hidden in collection, like the Ivory RHD 365 GT4 2+2 we talked about in a previous thread, that would be the better, but I'm not optimistic for every model.

We could use the Mathias Urban book to help, I ve looked in yesterday evening, but there often are mistakes with automatic and manual transmissions.

Will check one more time and think about the subject. Quite Interesting.

I ve learnt yesterday that a french delivered LHD 400GT wasn't broken as I ve could thought, but nicely hidden in a collection, in southwest of France.
Hope it will give you optimism !

    Paul,
I don't know, Ferrari site says Blu Gainsburgh but no signs on the car. I will check the handbooks when I am next there to see if there is any entry. Anyway, I am happy with the colour and it is in good condition so it will stay that way.

I ve contacted the seller too.
It is given as a 1979 400. So could be a injection car.
But a few Carbs Car should have been produced in 1979..

Havent heard anything back from the seller yet ! maybe he sold it?On these pics can only guess at least the pictures taken are older than the generally higher quality photos with all the technology of recent ones.suggesting not recent.

Ray has returned a verdict that they're all manual cars.

Good to hear, make sure you whack on plenty of 30+ sunscreen....

Greg was probably there to get some ideas for the courses he builds in the 'States.
We don't see him over here any more.

Are you talking about these cars ?

#21055 was owned by a F-Chatter called Jeffrobo, who in 2009 explained the car was the Hong Kong Dealer personal's one until 2002, when shipped to Australia and where he purchased. In 2009 in the Gold Coast, 32000miles and very original and well maintained.

#21185 is a blue car. And is or was registered "FRI 400", UK.

    #22417 : nothing

#22547 is a blue car and was registered "330 AFZ".

    #27445 : nothing
