Pictures 3 and 4 look more like the standard interior on the Scuderia of 'Technical Fabric' rather than optional Alcantara or optional leather. Some pics of Alcantara.
I am a bit confused. If you did not get either option, what might your interior be covered in? I am sure someone would have opted out of both and might be driving around in a hard plastic seat surrounded by lush exposed aluminum and carbon fiber. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm probably alone on this, but I like the tech fabric over either leather or alcantara... Alcantara fades over time & use, and when it does, loses its grip & also gains that "sheen"...leather also ages & cracks in it's own way over time. jmho.
^Fabric. Had I known that the Scud was a much better performer AND was available with a leather option I would certainly have gone that route (had I been able to find one). The exposed welds and steel floor boards could be covered up but what to do with those awful CF door cards?
You are exactly the person that shouldn't have a Scud. One word, poser. Just curious, have you ever been to a track?
Whoa... not sure that's necessary. Anyways, I like all 3 options (leather, alcantara, tech fabric). Nearly all the Scuds I saw when I was shopping had a mix of tech fabric and alcantara. I don't really think you can go wrong with any of them.
Sorry, but anyone who's constantly harping on how slow his 430 is and claiming it's going 0 to 60 in 8 seconds doesn't deserve a Scud.

Steve, I second the motion. I said it once before, but if your (babyboo) f430 is soooo sloooow, why on earth did you buy it? My f430 is great and certainly the match to my 997 TT Carrera 0-60 or 1/4 mile and better in all other aspects. I don't get it...sell the POS and buy some Porsches.
No worries. I wasn't familiar with the history so it was a bit of a surprise as I was reading this thread.
Love it, looks great including the "The exposed welds, steel floor boards that could be covered up and those awful CF door cards?" I'm glad to see you also like to be so bold and daring as to leave them uncovered. BTW..anyone else feel this way? I'm fairly confident there is a troll or poser or two in here generating some thread poo. Its hard to imagine someone claiming to love Scuds, yet put down most of its key unique features.
My point exactly. Especially since he recently stated , "the scud is no competition for a 911 turbo." So why do you want a scud? It's still not going to be fast when you shift at 5K.
So others beside me remember that exchange on the other thread. I couldn't believe it! It reminded me of high school when "that guy" with the bike came up and crapped all over my 383 Formula S 'Cuda.
I think augustxke's Scud looks wicked fast while sitting still, but it looks like he parked it in a TGI Fridays
I thought I would post these pictures because the leather option is so rare and many have not seen anything but black alcantara. The mix of colors and materials really sets this scud off. Its now sitting for the winter, waiting for spring.
Absolutely...very nice! I once looked at a 997 TT with a similar scheme...loved it, but it sold before I could make a deal. Some guy flew 2200 miles to get it.
Here's something none of us have mentioned. The Scuds, well, they are pretty exciting when driven with some gusto. We may find ourselves in some undies-twisting situations. Should that exciting situation take place, at what cost to our upholstery? This is a pic of the driver's seat in a Twin Supercharged Novitec 747 HP Scud. Lots of undies-twisting potential in this monster car. I have alcantera in my Scud, but I think that the leather, with its wipe-and-clean qualities, may have been a more discrete option. You be the judge! (Photo and yellow arrow lifted from another thread. Darth550...thanx) http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=141943511#post141943511 Image Unavailable, Please Login
