Tom, you are spot on-what a memory! Apparently was at Zandvoort in 1993. Can you really remember it, indeed was race it was in?
Thanks-don't I know it! I will need more than brave pills but plan to work my way into it with some pro help.
I have no digital ones. In those days real Polaroid/Kodak I found two photos from Spa BPR 4 Hours. Someone will join in here soon, he was there as must have some nice shots of this F40 Hamann conversion. It is not an LM nor a GTE. The ENNEA IGOL cars that raced at Spa were 90001 and 82404, Michelotto cars.
Thanks Tom. I now have the history and whilst I appreciate it was not an original car, it is one of the 30 or so modified and raced by privateers and apparently is now referred to as an LM GTE according to a Ferrari guru who provided all the history. Any photos would be great.
It has to be said that Ferrari nor anyone else would consider it an 'LM / LM GTE" All 'works' cars are were manufactured at Michelotto in Padova. Some bodywork and painting was done at Cognolato. All other in period race F40 can be considered as F40 racing or LM conversions as you wish. There is a large thread on the F40 LM / GTEs

I have a great road car that I decided was too good for track. This one is going to be track only and up to latest spec race standards ie paddleshift, suspension, brakes. Might enter a couple of races in the Ferrari open if we testing goes well.

Think you had fantastic buy on yours. Amazing to see all the history coming out. Engine will be 700bhp+. Will be ready in a couple of months hopefully.
Post when you do or PM me as would love to see the finished product. Mine should be ready around March. Yes, brilliant to see the history coming out and amazed the last owner did not find out more. One of my better decisions.
