You can have him! Will be interesting to watch the power couple, but just like Pujols a great player on the downhill. Maybe what the national media hasn't picked up on that we know in Dallas is that Hamilton is a fragile ****. He is a complete headcase that can be awesome or awful when he even plays. You'll see him beating his bible on your local evangelical charismatic church commercials, but then also Sunday morning he'll be apologizing for an alcoholic slip up and banging an ugly ho in a bar restroom. It will be fun watching! :)

    Lol. Nice post.
I'm no longer a fan of him. He doesn't act like he cares and he's occasionally good but is mostly hurt or sucking really bad.
I'm glad the rangers didnt sign him. He's a liability and I got the sense he messed with a great team chemistry.

No, the national media knows this.
He was pretty hot property - two years ago - but today, as you said, he is a head case waiting to go on the DL.
I can think of better ways to spend 125 mill - I hope the Angels have several clauses tied to performance in his contract.

Gee Rob, tell us what you really think, :D

Arte has spent money left and right the past couple of years...too bad hell pretty much have 100 million locked up in 3 players, and about 75 left for the rest of his team, good luck with that Arte.

I'm not done yet! I just didn't want you guys to think I'm ranting too much. :D:D:D

Hamilton got married in 2004 and has 3 daughters. Hamilton is very outward about his Christianity working with charismatic evangelical churches and 'I am Second'.

    1) "Hamilton said he had not used drugs or alcohol since October 6, 2005."

    2) "Hamilton confirmed he suffered a slip in early 2009 after photos were released in August 2009. Sports blog Deadspin.com posted photos of Hamilton shirtless in a bar in Tempe, Arizona, with several women. According to reports, witnesses saw Hamilton drinking, heard him asking where he could obtain cocaine, and heard him reveal his plans to go to a strip club later that evening."

    3) "On February 2, 2012 it was reported that Hamilton had suffered a second slip with alcohol. He claims to have had two or three drinks before inviting his friend and teammate, Ian Kinsler, to talk at the bar.[76] Hamilton held a press conference on February 3, 2012, to apologize for his actions"

This is the confirmed bang a ho in dirty bar bathroom incident.

    4) Incident I can't find right now, something he was rounding 3rd and 3rd base coach told him to keep going etc. Hamilton got injured on a play at home, but what shows his character is how he attacked the 3rd base coach publically.

    5) Just now with this deal with the Angels after everything Texas Rangers did all they asked of Hamilton is he would come back to Rangers before finalizing any deal. Hamilton completely disrespected the Rangers and fans by not honoring his promise to speak with the Rangers before finalizing any outside deal.

    6) Average trend last 3 years... 359, 298, and 285.

Every single piece of evidence points to a fragile **** that openly preaches what a great moral person he is when really he's a complete piece of ****.

Solid proof? Or 'he said/she said'?

Listen, I don't really love the guy, but I believe the Rangers have had all season long to re-sign him or sign him to a new extension long before any other team was able to, and Texas chose to just sit and wait, not do anything. If they wanted him they could have signed and kept him, they chose not to. THEIR FAULT.

Their GM (?) was on SC last night saying exactly that; They were fully expecting him to come back to 'em before finalizing a deal elsewhere - Apparently, he'd agreed to extend them that courtesy. He was visibly pissed!

    Cheers,
    Ian

Kinda the same situation with CJ last offseason. Except the Angels were not heavy favorites for Josh.

I have mixed feelings about him leaving. The way he slumped the second half of the season last year, I'm glad he's gone. On the other hand, that is a big bat gone; now, the Rangers only have two big bats in Nelson Cruz and Adrian Beltre.

I'm upset with how the Rangers are handling the offseason. They're just sitting there while their targets and alternatives are signing elsewhere. Mike Napoli to Boston, both Hamilton and Greinke to LA, and Annibal Sanchez agrees with the Tigers. Ryan Dempster also went to Boston but I knew he wouldn't be back. The best thing they've done is signed Joakim Soria, which he won't play until at least the end of May. And they traded Michael Young to the Phillies, which really saddened me after watching him play in a Texas uniform for 12 years.

If the Rangers could get AJ Pierzynski, Nick Swisher, and maybe Kyle Lohse, they would be alright for next season. But the team they have now isn't competitive.

Hamilton is the one that wanted to shop the market, I understand that and agree, but Daniels said come talk when you are done kicking tires and Hamilton didn't. Hamilton upset with the fans booing him end of season last year?

tru dat, each individual trade and lost player makes sense, but overall we have lost a bunch! I think players will step up and we'll be minting some new stars coming years.

As I said, 'he said/she said'.

What I read at the beginning of the season is Josh wanted to do his contract and Texas is the one that didn't want to.
It doesn't really matter because we will never really know, will we? Besides, from what you guys are posting here you didn't want him back anyway, so all is well, correct?

I think everyone gets booed at one time or another, makes you wonder how 3/4 of the Cowboys stick around (aside from the fact they are not good enough for someone else to sign them)

I agree with the sentiment that it's time to find a new QB.

How about a Romo/Rivers swap, since Rivers seems to be out-of-favor in SD?

What I find funny is Jerry Jones comments about why he fired Rob Ryan because I said exactly the same things back when Chicago and Seattle beat them. Clearly Rob Ryan was not getting his message to his players, they seemed to make (coverage) mistake after mistake after mistake, all season. I really did think Ryan would be gone after the season, but I also don't think Kiffin is the answer. I think the answer ended up in Houston, which is also wracked with injuries, but they don't seem to make the mistakes the Dallas D did all season long.

If Jerry wants to win he needs to pull a Dan Snyder and step back and let other folks run the team, right now he is eerily turning into another Al Davis.
