Also the shot of the mechanicals showed no wing mechanism like the P1.

Andrea, Sergio and I were together Turin looking at P 4/5 when he turned to me and said:

"Jim you have ended our business."

    I responded:

"Andrea you have ended your business."

The front is so AMAZING. However I'm don't have a clear picture of the way the back is gonna look like. I just can't tell from these blurry images.

I am sure about 1 thing though : it looks a million times better than the UGLY McLaren P1.
The P1 will probably deliver the goods in terms of performance, but since it doesn't look that good, that won't matter. Plus turborcharged engines don't sound half as good a NA engines.

Ok, this is obvious, but Luca should call Jim and ask his permission to call this new car a successor to the P4/5. The design influence at the rear is obvious. It appears there is a massive diffuser area too, you can probably count on an active rear wing as well.

I think we need to hold on with all this 'thanks to Jim'. Yes, undoubtably the most beautiful modern car I can recall and for that praise to Jim indeed, but lets be fair, where did the original influence come from and who designed that?? That after all is the ultimate source and Ferrari have a historybook of design like no other manufacturer to delve into when they want.

Funny how we all see different, I definitely see more of an Enzo than P4/5 in the back shot.

    Poll anyone?

The thanks should go to Andrea, Sergio and Pinin.

Up until Luca Mr. Ferrari would send his chassis north and take a look when they came back. I remember what he said the first time he saw the F40:

    "Bella"

The first time Mr. Ferrari saw the F40 was at it's unveiling in Modena.

Luca became much more involved in the design of Ferrari's and looked at and directed the direction of those designs much more than Mr. Ferrari did. The Enzo was Luca's vision as realized by PF.

P 4/5 came into being because Andrea wanted to make something that while guided by a costumer was lightly guided and still totally PF. Andrea wanted to do that because he felt that many were claiming that PF had "lost it" and he knew that they hadn't.

I was a "light guider". Luca doesn't have to thank me but he should put some flowers on Andrea and Sergio's grave.

The enzo has that same styling feature on the rear fenders...As the p4/5 was based on an enzo and this car has same proportions, they will all look vaguely similar. No surprise there. All of the details we've seen so far are completely different between the 3 cars, also no surprise there.

I wonder how much PF was involved in the design of the f150 or whatever they're calling it?

I actually see some Enzo's cues from in the rear, just a bit curvier.

With all due respect on the marvellous car you have build and the achievements you have accomplished with your racing team. But when you design a car based on the Ferrari heritage, you can not claim that the next Ferrari is based on your car. Of course there will be a lot of similar clues. (I see in the P4/5 also a lot of F40, F50GT, Enzo, Dino 206 Competizione and of course the 330P4 features) You did however point Ferrari back in the right direction.
