Haha.. but seriously, everytime a new Ferrari model comes out, there's always people comparing it with other cars. Apparently the 599 looks like a Corvette, the California is a Lexus SC etc etc..

Nooo, you don't say.......Look at the roof line... you want to tell me that Bentley copied the P4/5 too.......oh, wait that's what the roofs of 90% of endurance racers since the late '60s look like.....

No disrespect to anyone and especially Jim and his great car, but there is nothing from the P4/5 in this new images we see. Well other than two round stoplights, which by the way has been the norm for all modern Ferraris for some time now.
I looked and looked and looked. The roofs of the two cars are completely different. The rear treatment is completely different too as Jim's car has its taillights placed within the "frame" of the rear, where on F70 they brake the frame. Also, altho it is not clear what exactly is there, what seems to be between the fenders and the rear window is significantly different between the two cars.
I have said this before and I will say it again. Jim's car is beautiful. A rolling sculpture. But is just a modern interpretation of an already existing car. It is not an original design. Therefore even if another car is almost the same, it could not be inspired by the P4/5, but by the car the P4/5 mimicked.
I agree with others that it would be best to wait and see good pictures showing the design and all its elements a lot clearer, before we jump to conclusions if we like it, hate it and what it rinds us of.
I had a guy tell that the 575 Superamerica looked like a Honda DelSol. I told him he was on heavy drugs. He showed me some pictures under some angles and under certain light, where only some reflections were seen and I could see his point. Do the two of them look alike? Heck NO. And I think it is the same situation here, where we are comparing the F70 with P4/5 because, OMG the rear edge of the car gives similar reflection.

The last Ferrari I can think of that did not have derivative styling of some sort was the Testarossa. All the rest have had evolutions of prior styling in some way, shape or form. The TR was completely different to any Ferrari before it, and really any Ferrari since.

I'm pretty sure the left is a machine gun and the right is a laser.

The front end of the teaser pic looks like a corvette. Not a fan of this look. Hope it looks better in real life.

The rear looks much more interesting.
