Got a pleasant surprise in the mail today: A Christmas themed snapshot of my old car from over two years ago! Thanks, Lucas! Though I haven't seen him in years and we've kept in touch sparingly, it's nice to see people keep you in their thoughts. Definitely shows character. Cheers, buddy. Wishing you and the rest of the board a Merry Christmas and a great holiday season. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Spectacular work Grant! BTW I saw the large article in the Toronto Star on you and your artwork last month. Impresario indeed! Keep it up. I always enjoy seeing your latest masterpiece.
Really nice Lucas! I am currently drawing the artwork for my card this year. The Studio has been creating its cards by hand for over 20 years. Last year, upon request by Jim G., the card featured the reknown P4/5. This year will be Ferrari's newest model the F12. Will post here and on the Studio's Facebook page as well... Thank you kindly! I was pleasantly surprised with the size and scope of the article myself as I was unaware I would be getting the front page. A real shock when I picked up the Star at Tim Horton's that morning. Always nice to be acknowledged. Been enjoying the pencil work on the new paper "Terraskin". Graphite adheres to it wonderfully and allows great tonal shading control at the same time. More coming as I continue the series... Been delving thru my old photographs from the 90s for some reference materials. The 98 FCA meet in Toronto... old Cavallino Classic meets and the like. Once the Christmas card is finished will get back at them. GT
I also recived a Christmas card from Lucas!! Thanks very much my friend!! All the best in the new year, keep up the great work. There are many of us that are very proud of you and what you have accomplished in such a short amount of time. You should swing by the shop one day, lots of stuff going on that would make for some good photos for you....no charge

Anyone know more about the red 959 and XJ220 (yes, you read that right. 959 AND a XJ220 in the same place) amongst a few other driving machines (Individual colored E46 M3, 996TT, Boxster S, an old classic droptop, etc) that are all plated and parked in the old Ford dealership showroom on Milner in Scarborough? I'd guess it's the owner's collection and he's just parking them in the ex-Ford showroom :S Drove past it last night, stopped and went back to get a proper look. I couldn't believe what I saw!
Was reading on another forum....the XJ220 and 959 were owned by a local Toronto collector who went broke last year. The cars were being leased and were returned to the leasing company who is the same ownership as the old Ford dealership (who moved out.) I don't believe its the Ford owners cars according to the posters story. (The poster works at the new leasing company). The 959 is for lease/sale inside the showroom at this moment at $400,000 CAD, but then reduced to $359,000. Again, this is what I read on another site.
Glad you like it and I am happy they got there in time... the idea and drawing took longer than planned - especially the sleigh... haven't had to do too many reindeers in my time.... GT
I worked on and drove both those cars extensively. The jag is unbelievable how its put together. Damn thing is assembled like a fighter jet. Just an amazing peice of work. The drive on the other hand... Well scary sums it up very well. Brakes??? Ha ha what brakes!! That thing didn't stop worth anything. Dangerous really. She was fast though... Very fast. Sounds like a jet on take off when those turbos spool up!! But the sound of that six is terrable at idle. Sounded like a bag of mables in a tin can... Awful. The 959 was cool too, but a bit of a disappointment. The looks in person leave somthing to be desired. In pictures they look amazing, but not so much in the flesh.. Kinda kitcarish at some angles. The drive on the other hand is impressive. Very advanced car for its age, and still to this day it does things cars are just now able to do.
Grant, are you sure? Surely you've done Prancer before.... "Now, Dasher! Now, Dancer! Now, Prancer, and Vixen! "On, Comet! On, Cupid! On, Donner and Blitzen! Image Unavailable, Please Login
