Ferrari 348 - Car of the Year?

Wouldn't it be funny if it wins.

 

Ok, I like the 355 and even the 348 but what the **** is a 348 doing running against modern supercars for car of the year award 2012?

Isn't that like my 40 yr old self running in "teen choice awards?"

 

Seems completly fair....

My vote is in for the 348! Not just because I own one, either. I seriously would rather have it than anything else on the list! No offense, of course -- they are all fabulous cars that I wouldn't exactly kick out of the garage.

 

I've voted. The 348 is now THE cult car. A real racing car for the road

 

i think liking the 348, which has no way the performance capability compared to more modern cars is like comparing Slash of G&R to more versatile and technical current new age guitarist.....it's a cult and it has it own set of large (pun not intended!) audience.

 

The fact that the 348 even made that list is remarkable....it gets my vote

Already done. By my quick scan through, the 348 has about 58% of the overall vote as it stands with the other 7 sharing 42% between them, give or take.

So let's get this straight. 8 cars in the final reckoning taken from every car they've reviewed this year. 7 are this years models and are all basically modern high powered sports cars/super cars....... and the Ferrari 348. Would say it's clearly an unfair contest if it wasn't for the fact that the 348 is not only in the final 8, it's actually out in front.

I posted some nonsense when I first came on FChat a while back, maybe a little over 18 months ago, about the fact that I felt the perception of the 348 was changing and people would slowly change the way they saw the car. Over here in the UK we've had a bunch of articles over the last year praising the 348. Maybe I wasn't that far of the mark.....

Besides, it can't be that bad a car, it lead on to the 355 afterall.

 

Pete, I clearly remember your posts back then and privately supported them; privately because I don't really care what people think, I love my 348 and always will

 

Voted for our pet car. For the money, you cannot get what the 348 buys you in performance, experience, maintenance, fellowship and admiration. LdM eat crow!

Voting not yet over but the 348 has about 64% of the vote at the mo, the other 7 sharing the other 36% between them. We'll see how it goes but looking good at the moment.

 

Some of the votes are email votes. So probably hard to tell who's in the lead. Any way to forward the page via Facebook to friends?
