Grant, you might need to replace the cameraman instead. ;) Great pics either way as it's just nice to see her out in the daylight.

Also, the rear shot with the 456-- never gave it much thought before, but you can definitely see the Daytona influence there. Very cool.

    Grant,

    Just plain wonderful.

To me, the right exterior colour, the right interior colour, wires, and all this on a restoration as deep as you could go.

    A true jewel.

Enjoy her in good health, and keep the shiny side up!

    Jack.

    Hi Guys.
I have yet another question [ I thought I had finished asking them].
I have just bought these original Spyder roof frame caps. I am not 100 % sure exactly how they fit.

Does anyone have a photo of them installed on a car?
    Thanks again

Hi Grant, your car is absolutely gorgeous!

I have a very large personal database of old publications, many of which are parts catalogs, and will check to see if I have a photo of the part or a very similar part installed on a 365gts4. I'll send you a PM if one is found.

Grant do you have 8's and 9's on your car? How is she running in, and how many miles do you have so far and what have you had to do in the sorting process,Chuck USA Daytona 12883

    Hi Chuck.
I have 7&1/2" fronts as the 8" where no longer available, and 9" rears.

The cars running great, Jobs over the winter were:- sort out the fitting of the roof as i was not happy with it, plus other small trim issues, Oil change from running in oil to normal oil, check timing chain and tightness of heads. Fill up the air con, sods law the only thing we did not rebuild was the pump as I though I had a new one, but it had the wrong fittings on! The seals in the aircon pump were leaking so they had to be replaced, Rob found a guy who know all about these pumps, as they also fit combine harvesters! So they had it fixed with new seals in a few days.

The hand break lever was not holding well, and just needed a knock to release it, good for racing starts but not for general use, Rob had seen it was worn, and had welded it to try to fix it, but it did not work so they had to have a new hardened catch made which now work perfectly.
That was about all really, I have just changed it back to the wires as it was on the alloys for the winter, I love the Hill Eng. spinner doer upper tool, It's so much better that hitting the spinners with a hammer! The cars almost run in now, but I am still taking it a bit gently and not red lining it yet.
