Wanted to buy a pair of Hollywood Sports Cars license frames! Would prefer a set from mid 1960's period in nice condition. Email Terry [email protected]

The real Ferrari activity was at the service shop on Gower. Lots of interesting Ferraris were regularly found there.

What a contrast. El Wayne's "then" picture looks like the Daytona Spyder was photographed through the windshield of a VW Bug.

I had a couple of Saabs serviced there.

    Gotta love Armenian mechanics.

One of the mechanics [went by "Shawn" ;)] left & went to work at the 76 station on Beachwood & Franklin. He could work on anything correctly, quickly & fairly. The former mechanic was a j-o-k-e . . . every time I saw him, he'd be looking at how-to guides. No thanks!

Since departing L.A., I've looked up the B&F location on Google Maps & the garage bay has been transformed into the main footprint of the "store" portion of the 76 station, which used to be minuscule.

Neat. Glad to see it is still car-centric and not a chicken joint, strip mall, etc.

BTW - the location on Hollywood Blvd. is immediately adjacent to the 101 Freeway below. Aside from fact that a few miles away is the world's busiest interchange (right by Staples Center), it must have made for some interesting car washes in a smoggy L.A..

Chick was the owner and Canada was the detail guy. He then went on to open the detail rack at the Century City Mall. He passed away about 2 years ago. Oh the cars he remembered and the stories that followed.

Non standard rectangular rear lights on the 275 GTB which look similar to those on a Miura SV?

I'd say it was maybe an early sixties VW, judging by the wiper arms, and flat screen and the thickness of the door pillar around the quarterlight.

If you're referring to the 3rd pic, a Dino GT.

In the third pic, the little guy could be Pietro Iurilli, who worked at H'wood Sport Cars before teaming up with Bruno Borri.

What would be the approx year of that pic? 70' or 71' would be my guess.
