Anyone have a link to the 959 for sale?
Ok, if it is for sale sorry for the confusion. But please, dont let price be the only factor in your decision. Please make sure you go through the steps when buying something like this or similar...
Oh I'm not rich enough for a car on that level. The price is just low compared to others listed around the world so even if it needed some work it could still be a good deal for somone.
Shot this cool Superformance Shelby Daytona last week, very cool car! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Lucas Although I'm not a fan of kits or continuations or whatever one might refer to them as , I must say I drove a blue one of these in Austin Texas a few years back and with the incredible power to weight it had, was real fun bordering on pure terror. Gary Espada 8394 EtypeFHC 887465
Either way she's nice. Dirty or not I'm a coupe guy through and through. So personally I don't do cabrios or targa, gts etc. Your GTB is just right.
Gary the Superformance cars are by no means a kit car. Factory built to iso 9001 standards, all new parts, some OEM and some new manufacture . the Daytona coupes are fully authorized and approved by Carroll Shelby and Shelby America
Angelo; Maybe thats why it was such a fun ride? Seriously I'm kinda torn on this stuff as I really love real history and I love being in the presence of a historicaly important car that worked for its legend. Seeing the real deal Daytona Coupes at Goodwood driven in anger was sensory feast on many levels. Such is the stuff of legends you might say . Goodwood for me was what the Vatican would be to a devout Catholic . Now that ive established my bias let me continue. These new cars represent money, and of course current engineering go faster tidbits.but no history .They are almost too good. The are in fact copies . like a computer making a COPY of the Mona Lisa That said how else would the average guy get to experience this . In sept I made serious inquiries into an aluminum chassis and bodied Aston Martin DBR1 replica based on a 4.2 Etype running gear . Modern suspension and brakers electronic ignition etc etc . I was seroiusly smitten ! the power to weight was off the charts . Also I looked into a Proteus C type (AND they are acutally on the increase $$? can you beleive it? one might consider this exacting nut and bolt recreation a kit as well ) but alas I just couldn't do it . Money aside it was mainly mainly cause telling the boys back home when asked ............... its a continuation, or its a kit, or its a new car made to look like an old one with modern conveniences and they even threw in a few old parts so one could attempt to talk credibly about it. Not a story I want to attempt explain my way out of . Sorry if I sound like a snob but consider that back when Enzo was still alive in the 80s,he put the brakes on the Daytona and GTO replicas that were poping up in the Miami Vice era . This went strides i feel to enhance the allure of the originals . I know you have a Ford GT and a replica GT 40 ,both stunning in their own right . I would be interested in the reactions you get , not from Junior in a parking lot but from an old Brit who watched the real ones make their legends in Europe so many years ago. This is the "in progress" shot of a wild rat rod being completed over the winter. It's going to be one of the wildest cars I've ever shot once it is finished! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Lucas a friend of mine has one of these, I wonder if it's his and he's restoring it? What's the owner's name? Rob
This was spotted near Cobourg on the 401 the other day. Even if this is a replica, which I hope it is, this make me cringe. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Even if its a replica it look nice. Wheels are compomotive I think. I bet the owner think his car is transported in an enclosed trailer.
Well, let's just hope not I may not be an owner (yet). But I won't ever go the replica route ever. I'd rather make a trip out to the island in BC and buy that $25K stick 400i
the poor guy is probably getting dozens of emails from a bunch of the craigslist/kijiji types that you and I know about. Probably still getting low ball offers etc. You remember my 92 Mondial story
