Anyone in the know here or who has tried a different coilover system in your 355 would love to here from you. Was thinking of trying a new KW system in my 355 when I gut it like a fish next month. Thanks in advance
I've had Moton triple adjustable on my 95 for 6-7 years and love them. I have the stock springss and the car rides better than stock shocks. You can adjust the canister pressure to act like increase spring presssure without changing springs. Shock adjustments done in minutes without jacking up car. Thank you. I am looking to completely change to a different more modern coilover system with a lift control for the front , Thats a spring change with blueprinted cores from Dee Vee I believe.
I'm thinking of replacing my suspension with JRZ double or triple adjustables, but was going to go with Eibach ERS or Hypercoils. Never thought of using the stock coil springs. Do you know the spring rates of the stock coils? Thanks.
Oh and I like the location you chose for the external canisters. Do you find that they get really hot those locations? Also, how do you get the underbody and suspension of your that clean and detailed? Really looks good. Cheers, Alex
The cannisters don't really get very hot in that location. I don't know what the stock spring rate is but you can search that. I think for every 10lbs in can pressure is equivilant to 30lbs in spring rate, so you can play with pressures alittle.
Spring rates are posted in the following thread, along with other relevant info for your quest. http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=390036 The stock springs have a non-standard diameter, so you'll probably have to convert the mounts with something like this: http://www.deltavee.net/parts.htm
Do you mean that you're going to spec KW dampers yourself or that KW now offers a set specifically for the 355?
Moton makes a kit for the F355 with all the hardware and perches for stock spring diameter or aftermarket spring diameter.
Yes spec some myself. I get a great deal on them so figured I would try them out. I ran them in some other vehicles and they really worked nicely.
