    I'm wondering any of you bro has fitted a F430 f/R suspension on a f360? Will the f430 suspension works better on a f360 on the ride and handelling? Pls advice thank you.

    Guys, the F430 uses the SAME identical suspension as the 360. Apart from the E-diff vs mechanical diff exactly what 'improvements' are you trying to achieve? Ride quality is different to handling!

    Bits the same...
    1. The hard cast chassis suspension mounting points are identical too (as is the wheelbase).
    2. The SKF wheel bearings are identical too
    3. Even the all aluminum upper and lower wishbones (+ ball joints in the wishbones)
    4. The AF Sach coilover dampers are identical too.

    Basically the only real differences are;

    1. Revised spring rates (new springs, yes they fit, but where revised for different weight setup of the heavier F430)
    2. Ride height and geometry settings where improved for less tendancy to snap oversteer [feel free to set it up the same setup], for fast road improvements see my postings on the subject.
    3. Wheels, tyres (growing +10 section width and +1" from 18' to 19' (yes they fit)
    4. Cannot remember now if they even bothered to change the rollbars, think they are same too (worth looking at part numbers to compare) - overall your actually better of using the CS/Scud ones for improved performance [not ride quality!]
    5. Bushes for the engine and gearbox mounts where also improved a little.

    The wheel bearing while being identical have different electronic wheel speed sensors on (magnetic pickup rings) with a different induction signal. This was because Bosch changed the version of ABS ecu between the 360 and F430. The main reason was to add ESP, an addition steering angle sensor was added to the F430 along with new ecu and gyroscopic sensor for g-force measuring. (yes you can retrofit ESP from F430 to 360 but you need to bring over all the sensors and somehow trick the dash into not triggering a CEL).

    The biggest improvements you can made to handling are geometry, tires, spring rates and mounts.

    Thanks for the reply and detailed infor, so to say it can fit in to a f360.

    Leeman, you still have not clearly articulated exactly what your trying to achieve and to what end! Re-read what I posted, the 360 and F430's share most of the same bits, shock absorbers and most of the same suspension components so I am baffled what your really trying to achieve!?

    The biggest differences felt are electronics and improved geometry settings which is less prone to snap oversteer, the electronic differential replacing the mechanical lsd, the addition of esp, the slightly wider tires, etc.

    You don't need to fit any F430 specific suspension components to make your car handle better. The 360 can handle superbly with very little effort and expenditure. Starting with better tires like Michelin Pilot Super Sports on slightly wider rims (ideally CS ones which fit the car superbly styling wise), add CS geometry settings and 20% uprated springs with lower ride height and you'll transform the handling and it will still be virtually stock.

    If you want better ride quality buy a Merc. Seriously, it wasn't until the 458 with the next generation of magnetic dampers did they combine improved ride quality and better handling. Normally their objectives actually oppose each other!

    So THEN the question becomes how can we fit the new mag dampeners to our cars for superior handling ;) To get rid of the " twitchiness" near the limit, do you think its best to add the e-diff or go to the new mag dampeners and fab an ecu module or reprogram settings in the current (I.e. a module that would act in-line with the sport switch wired in between the current line and the shocks with its own sensors)...?

    All the mag dampers do is improve the "ride quality" since they have the ability to firm up or soften very rapidly (in ms) which allows 'the best of both worlds', hard ride when you need it, soft when you don't. Not something I'm overly worried about.

    On the handling characteristics front, I have pretty much eliminated the twitchy behavior with geometry and ride height changes I run today. So did Ferrari, on the F430 geo.

    I would advise the study of the toe and camber settings between 360, CS, F430 and Scuderia (I actually posted an excel spreadsheet calculator) which allows you to compare geo's across models. See;

    Then decide what works for your driving style...

    Can't wait to install my new Moton system. Stock suspension suck IMO.

    Respectfully, David I'd have to disagree. I'm sure it can be improved upon and of course most of us are probably running around on ageing dampers (which would benefit from specialist rebuild) and worn bushes etc. but there's no doubt about it, the 360 comes equipped with decent gear that also allows for significant individualisation dependent on your intended use.
