No although that car does profile one of his resto jobs and a fellow FChatter (op), there was one a few years ago on his own steel bodied silver to yellow 308 resto before he had his Boxer.
Couldn't get the video to run from the link in the first post so found it on youtube. Yes, very nice to see Paul in person so to speak. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Drl-CSwwf8[/ame]
I've been meaning to propose this for a while on some of the Newman threads. I suggest we should all start sending a dollar to the people that give their cars the Newman treatment to say thanks for all the entertainment and enjoyment we get from his photo documentation and writeups.
Indeed, Paul did an excellent job and there is no doubt that this passion and enthusiasm came through the video! Cheers, Sam
I knew him when he was just another slob on Ferrarichat.. Man.. those days were golden... Now; red carpets, Hollywood, paparazzi shots with Cindy Crawford.. Go on Newman ! Fly with the eagles ! (little tear down my cheek)
that must be the one I was thinking about. I am reading the article and drooling over all the pics. My wife got me a subscription to Forza for fathersday.
Thanks for the repost &... Thanks for the heads-up Good job Newman! Public speaking & on cam are about the hardest things to pull off well. How 'bout a round 2??
Thank you! I was not comfortable at all in front of the camera and I doubt it would be any easier the second time around.
Confidence in your experience you already have & speaking from the heart will beat those fears down. Do a few takes you'll become more comfortable with it. No need to reply, just thought I'd throw it out there. It may be something you're not interested in doing...but good job anyway
Paul, I also have been playing with cars my entire life. Journeyman Machinist for 40 years. I was never afraid to tear into strange cars or motorcycles, even though I'm not a mechanic by trade. My hobby has been racing cars, motorcycles, live steam locomotives etc. scratch built 3 hot rods in the last 12 years. Well 2 years ago I got a chance to buy a 87 TR off a friend that needed to sell it. I know the car needed some work, but It was a good car. dropped the engine did all the service myself (just takes patience) and really enjoyed fixing all the little things. I also was thinking of building a Cobra Daytona coupe. but happy instead I got into Ferrari's myself. Ago
