Very tricky, so far I've ordered Silverstone for my new Spider... but Nero Daytona really looks hot too. Obviously a personal decision, just wanted opinions. Black is clearly hot and sexy (when kept very clean) but silverstone is dark and interesting!
First of all congrats for your new adquisition! Now, between ND and GS my choice is GS... in my taste looks better on the Spyder. Cheers!
I agree. GS will light up with fire in the sun and still preserve the swoopy lines of the 458. Nero tends to obscure those lines.
I did the same with my 430 and on occassion felt a tinge of regret I didn't order the nero color (like so many of my other cars). Black is beautiful and helps give the impression of a "presence". At the same time, as has been said, the lines of the car are lost. After years of owning a Silverstone and Cuio Ferrari, I realize how it stood out from others, making a statement all its own. The word that comes to mind is "class". It is not just a Ferrari, but a piece of art, and often appreciated by those who know nothing about cars. Best
I decided against Nero Daytona as I found it too grey for a black, if that makes sense. I would much prefer Silverstone over it, but even better in my book is Nero Stellato and that's what I chose for my 458. Metallic Black with a star-like red sheen to it. It is much darker than Daytona, much more "black". Difficult to photograph but everyone who sees it seems to be impressed by it. It's still a very rare and unknown colour (came out with the SA Aperta). I like the color combination and could only really see the red sheen in one picture (rear shot), but I see what you mean. As you say difficult to photograph. I own a 458, and I think it fair that most people choose traditional colors, i.e. reds, black, etc., so when anyone does something different, expect a reaction. I had a Silverstone 430 which appealed to one group and today own a Black/White 458 (pictures), which "most" seem to like.The internet affords anyone an "equal" voice regardless of who they really are or represent. Canna di Fucile - maybe the best of both worlds if u can't decide. Dark metallic Charcoal/Anthracite that's basically in between Silverstone & Nero Daytona. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Interesting.... good shout! So it is darker than the Grigio... but lighter than black, and still metalic? Could be a win here.. [Any more pics of the above car from different angles/lighting?]

Well, I love it and you love it. Isn't that all that matters? BTW: I agree, it's not a very nice comment. The beauty of designing your own car is you get to do what YOU want to do and screw what others or the factory think is best. It's a marvel.

Hey cool, new colour I didn't know about. Can you describe what it looks like and how it compares with other grigios? Do I spot a hint of purple in it? Onno
Grigio Granito is a dark grey metallic, originally from Maserati. This photo is pretty dark, normally it looks more like canne di fucile without the brown shade inside.
Nero (non-metallic) looks terrific when it is clean, not so great when not. To me, Nero Daytona (metallic) always looks a bit "dirty" due to the metal flakes. My choice would be Silverstone. It also has metal flakes in it, but the eye doesn't expect pure gloss black and doesn't (to me) have that same "problem."
