    Happy New Year to all!
We are having a new Master cylinder-Brake servo assembly for our 365BB shipped from the UK to us. Our forwarder needs the Weight and general Dimensions of the Master cylinder-Brake servo to enable him to give us an accurate enough price for shipping.

We dont wish to remove these components from our boxer because we would still like to drive the car (as its brakes are still working, though not as well as it should), especially as the humidity in our part of the world is not very kind to cars not driven enough. Maybe someone has their m/c and brake servo off, and would be kind enough to weigh them?
    Thank You!
    patrick

    hello patrick

I wonder a little: your forwarder needs the weight of a part he has already there? strange! he only has to put it on a scale then. also you say it is already shipped to you to the phil. so I really don´t know where there is a prob of getting the shipping price. also the shipping price depends on the weight and on the dimensions of the complete package. and this your forwarder all has.

I agree. It's like a farm sending me a case of oranges then they ask me for the weight and dimensions of the package for shipping. Unless you don't trust the amount he is quoting. That's different. If so just some out and say so. Otherwise it does not make sense.

    Hi guys!
Maybe some misunderstanding here :). We have not bought the part yet as we need to know its weight and measurements so we can let our forwarder (not associated with the company we will buy from) know and he can quote us a price, so we can decide wether to let the forwarder ship over here, or look for some

then just ask the seller about this. he will know exactly and can tell you.

missunderstanding? you wrote clearly : We are having a new Master cylinder-Brake servo assembly for our 365BB shipped from the UK to us

so we can not missunderstand this writing. it says you have shipped from the UK to the phil. :) :) :)

but I know this problem because I have some phil friends and those missunderstandings are usual, but always strange to me ;)

    Hi Turbo-Joe!
I read what i wrote again, and your right, i did say "we are having a new master cylinder-brake servo assembly for our 365BB shipped from the UK to us". I should have said "we are planning on having a new master cylinder-brake servo assembly shipped to us..." My english is that bad? :) and i spent 4.5 yrs active duty on Mcguirre AFB, shame on me...:) Also "strange" might be an understatement for what happens over here :). Thanks anyway!

Patrick, I understood what you said. I don't have a removed unit but here are rough dimensions that I came up with installed (file photos), should get your shipper pretty close. Since it is installed I'm only guessing at the additional length for the pushrod/boot. Also, I obviously can't weigh but I would think an estimate of ~10-15 lbs. would get you in the ballpark.

    Good luck!
