Bringing in the new year with a short drive, a good wash, and wax. All set for 2013. Cheers Jim Image Unavailable, Please Login

Today I saw the engines #30639 and #2628, seems that #4886 is back in switzerland, #3817 is a modified car which is being converted back to P400, it was red, had air scopes and had a wing similar to #4808. I don't have pictures of #3817 yet, it's being restored, the chassis needed a painful lot of work.
I gave the car a holiday present, and am enjoying the result! New gas tank, free of corrosion and leaks...a full Weber rebuild and re-jetting for the awful ethanol mix we deal with today...various acts of timing, tuning, care and feeding. Couple of relevant pics attached. Phenomenal work done by David Moore, proprietor of Moorespeed, and his team here in Austin, TX. The man is a perfectionist and worth the trip to our fine city. Home of the Circuit of the Americas, by the way Since I first met the esteemed Mr. Sackey and with his help purchased the car from Ed Taylor some years ago, it has never run this well. Looking forward to a very good 2013! Happy New Year to all. Alex Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks like #4365 is the yellow P400s located in Autobau Romanshorn at Lake of Constance. http://www.autobau.ch/eng/ Any info on this car?
Alex, I do believe you (& the ex-General Motors Miura P400) are in good hands at last. I spoke to David a couple of years ago and he left me in no doubt about his attention to detail. His shop has an interesting array of Superacars at all times, but, they all are all descendants of the Miura! It does look good next to the Ferrari 250 SWB. Bentley . http://youtu.be/hvaRJRBu0gA Miura . http://youtu.be/IyBQOHMkVbY The Miura was accompanied by a Bentley.......one with a French Kellner one-off alloy body.....pass the grey poupon!!! It was the first time the Miura ran in 19 years. One sure fire way of fixing that winter car itch
Ciao Dario, could you send me some history of this car by PM? BTW do you know the red SV located at Pfenninger?
Given the date you give, it ought to be an early gold-liveried SV: 4878, 4888, 4894, 4918, 4914, etc. But looking at the rear, you can see the spacing of the SV badges are wrong (askew to the right), the reflectors are missing, and the tailpipes are missing indicating a rear-end mishap. That's the clue, and just one previously-gold car in that region fits that description. It can therefore only be 5030. Do I win a prize?
i don't know , but i will tell you if i found the number http://www.dpm-motors.com/index11.php?occasion=10906&lang=fr
