    I did that too when I first got my car 6 years ago....


    It's been a while since I engaged that AUTO mode button so my memory is a bit fuzzy....but I believe the above statement is true.

    When in auto mode using the paddles will take the car out of auto mode...

    Let's say I'm driving along in "auto" it's in 4th gear and I decide to use the paddles to shift into 5th. At this point the car shifts into 5th and the auto light goes out, from this point on I have to use the paddles to do the shifting. It went back into manual mode.
    Confirmed! As I have done this more than once.

    Interesting...I need to call another dealer. That did not work for me.

    OK. I started up the car to go test how to switch back to manual and my F1 light won't stop flashing. 😊 I may be getting a new 360 pump. I just had the car in the shop for its annual service less than 20 miles ago so maybe something got screwed up. I really want that new 360 pump though. 😊

    I found the part in the manual that refers to this. Sorry I had to take a picture of my computer screen cause for some reason I can't copy and paste the pdf file.
