I'm unsure if many of you have found this site but follow the link below to see a a number of these cars for sale across the European continent (not including the UK cos we're not really part of Europe as they all drive on the left and speak funny!).

Currently there are 23 cars listed at wildly varying prices and a mixture of auto and manual cars (Alastair - there's also a 400GT)

Considering the controversy re values that has cropped up in a few threads recently it will be interesting to get feedback from our American cousins on the prices shown here.

    Hey Russ
well found waw was just checking them out the black one ive seen around on the marketplace before but not the white car.

Interestingly the black car has a 400badge which I havent seen on any other 400GT only on the 400i cars.

On another note I have just been in touch with Howard and he is going to send up the indicator lens for me so thanks again very much for your thoughtfull gesture.

Very excitedly my car just passed the MOT 2 days ago so iminently will be down to pick it up from Roseneath he did the commisioning I did the engine part/ rebuild so I must have put it all back together right!

I will send down an invite to my exhibit in London March would be a pleasure to meet you at that time.
    Regards
    Alastair

Great news that you're finally going to be mobile again 400 style, really glad that my spare lens is going to be used on your newly restored beauty.

If you want some company when you're collecting your car let me know. I dont live too far from East Sussex and would love to see your car so would be more than happy to meet you and take you to collect it. If the weather is ok I'd bring the 400 (can never resist the opportunity of a run). You have my contact details or PM me when you know dates etc.

Really pleased for you - must be an exciting time !

PS Yes exciting time but tinged with the usual financial worries! I am an artist it would be ridiculous of me to ever have any money!!!
    All good fun.

very kind of you, looking forward to seeing both car and exhibition (and your last post really made me laugh but you forgot to mention that you're an artist AND an old Ferrari owner - makes having any money even more unlikely !)

We both own 400's - best make it one with padded walls and optional straight jackets!

On the 400GT apologies my list is for only RHD cars just now there were only 28 ever built 21 UK RHD numbers originally imported though some of those would then have been reexported some very recently (lucky Tassie)
Theres literally only 5 or 6 confirmed worldwide 2 in the UK now in existence.

Do you have a printer/copier? You could scan the photo to your computer & then attach it to a reply post. If you need more specifics as to how to do this, just reply or PM.
I think a lot of us would like to see it!

back to your original question Rus, i follow these sites etc. like you and a lot of these cars have been for sale a long time. Generally the ones under 20k euros seem to sell, even if condition is poorer.the 30k plus variety seem to stick around for eternity.

Chris Evans 412 manual went very quickly for £28k, It was also low mileage and excellent condition, i think this is the max price currently for any 365/400/412 variant.

There's a red 412 manual with 50000 miles thats been for sale for ages at £31k and a grey auto at foskers for £23k for nearly 2 years!

Unless its special no-one wants to pay over £20k for an auto and £25k for a manual.

but it seems people will pay between £10-16k for poorer condition stuff.

Rob, I think you're evaluation is pretty much 100% bang on.

Maybe one day the rest of the world will finally see the appeal of these lovely cars - part of me would like it to happen but there's a backwards snob in me that wants to keep it more relaxed due to the low values that means only genuine enthusiasts and not rich entrepreneurs get involved.

Agreed BUT in my experience most people with pots of cash don't have the same appreciation as someone who struggles to buy and maintain something which is special to them.

Oh, I can't keep that crap up - you're right - I wish I had all the money in the world !!

    Hahaha.
Just to piss you Pommie bastards off here is a photo of the rubbish I had to remove to get out a car I wanted to take for a run. It was the usual nice sunny day in Tassie over Xmas (we have Xmas at the right time of the year you know).
400's and Tassie have something in common. Don't tell anyone about how great they are and the good people will still be able to enjoy them.
