i just finish my work on this mondial 3.2, i just wait only few parts (shields etc) for complete it.
I add 4 new look a like 355 550 wheels and i paint the calipers yellow (only mod)
i put the original size wheels

but i wanna tell this story about the people who see this car at the first time

the car is Nero Tropicale , black 1988 3.2 euro
interior leather are Crema and carpets are black
    damn best combo!!

people that dont know more ferrari models, when see the first time the car sayd TESTAROSSA or 328

people that know ferrari and own ferrari, and someone of these people considering ugly the mondial, when see the car for the first time was shocked, ask me? really its a mondial ? not seems a mondial :O , they was shocked!!

    why?

The black nero color in the mondial 32 mask or mix the strange elements (for who dont love mondials) in the car, like the black parts on the mirrors, the black fins on the rear
and the black parts under the door (in the other color car) provide to reduce the space between floor and the car, and car look like EVIL , or similar to 328,testarossa or other 2seat ferrari.

Black mondial are very very rare, the original owner bought it in the 88 after a long research, because ferrari not painted black enough cars, a lots of black mondial in usa are repainted black for this reason.
According with the original ferrari dealer maybe only 7 , 3,2 coupe was painted black in maranello ! i will investigate
only in the late 88 ferrari understand the power of black combo mondial and more T are black, the last T coupe in usa was black ! (motorweek test? )

    i will put pictures soon!!

let me know what u think about my words and reflection

It would be great to find some information about production numbers and colours. I agree that black with cream is awesome and looks lower because of the black sills.

When I bought mine I really wanted red. Saw a few that needed too much work then I came across the one I finally bought, blue sera which I had never seen or heard of. It wasn't until I got in touch with Ferrari UK who confirmed my colour and that only 4 right hand drive 3.2 Mondials ever registered here with UK specifications. Now that is very rare, I had no idea whatsoever. And with only 91 right hand drive 3.2 Mondials world wide surely the prices should soon start rising in those markets that would then also reflect worldwide left hand drive markets.

You're right about people being confused, especially here where you never ever see them at all.

I wonder who has the production records? Enjoy!;)

I thought black was actually quite common. I thought it was only second to red.

I'm a fan of the black and really like it on my car. Mine was originally black. Mine is the Cabriolet.

Post some pictures of your car so we can all see it. We could make this the "post your black mondials" thread.

Most people do not know what my car is either. Most have never heard of the Mondial.

I have to agree on black and tan. It is one of my prefered color combo if not my prefered. Make the car looks rich and prestigious I think. I was also shopping for a black/tan car when I bought mine but found that blu sera which is a dark color and also look good. I'm shopping for a TR right now and I'd like to have a Black/tan but I also want some kind of diversity in colors in the garage. Since I already have a red and a dark blue I will probably go for a yellow if I buy.

But Black/tan is definitely the best looking one IMO. I love tan interior.

That looks gorgeous! One of my favourites!

There was a great episode on Discovery last night of Wayne Carini at a special concourse for yellow Italian exotics only. You can imagine the cars on display, especially Ferraris. I'm hooked on that series:)

I saw that episode over the holidays, great show indeed. But I still love Wheeler Dealers the best! That Edd China's got talent with Mikey being a slick sharp character.

Anyways, yellow is the new Rosso, it will be first on my next car list. Just gorgeous like on this Dino! Sorry to hijack a thread about black cars, oh gees! lol

    This is fantastic!

I'm overdosing on this car porn and those yellow ones look amazing! Mike, are those shots from the Wayne Carini programme? Problem is that I want them all but only room for 1 in the garage while the Beemer sits outside:)

Looking at the Testarosa and TR, is there more desirability of one over the other?

Feel like going for a drive now:)

Without those awful side air intakes??? Thats sacrilegious Greg. The TR is the Big Dog for that reason, mother of all cheese graters.

I have to agree with Mike, that's what I like so much about the Mondial, the side grills look amazing. Not so nice on the 3.4t where they are smaller by being square. They look better on earlier models where they follow the shape of the rear wheel arches.

There's something mean looking about them, and they are functional too.

Again for me like many other ferraris I use not to like the TR because I tought they were full of artificial gimiks. The side strakes and the rear light grilles were too much for me. Like the anniversary Countach I don't like those frills grills.

Don't ask me how or why but the Testarossa his now one of my favorite. Probably because it is SO different from anything else. This car CAN'T be taken for anything else.

IT IS a TESTAROSSA. An Icon.

i pass all the day to search in the web, black mondial 3.2 coupe or T coupe
cars are very very rare to find, and rare to find pictures of these cars
i find some cabriolet , more easy to find in black, but more appears re-painted different from nero fer ferrari color

mondial T , black, good car, good price, but need work on engine

    http://www.collectorscarworld.com/Cars-For-Sale/Detail.aspx?offer=15103

3.2 Sold in italy last year, beautifull, but too much sticker and not clean engine

That's text interesting! The 3.2 more expensive by almost 20% than the 3.4t but as mentioned the 3.4t has been unused for a while and needs a service and has no service history book. I would stay away from that one.

A good solid service history and records of work done really increases sale and price potential.

But I am surprised at the high price of the 3.2 and it sold. That's a good sign!
