That is a fine photo, but that particular car is the experimental one that appeared at the 1962 German and Italian GPs, with non-'sharknose' bodywork, and became the prototype of the 1963 cars. As it has no crash bar, it is presumably at Modena for testing. Paul M
Great photograph of the last of the tubular chassis cars. Although the design was significant in the dominance of the 1961 season as the quote suggests. Equally the large power advantage of the adapted 1.5 litre engine caught the competion out when the regulations were changed
indeed. Great tip! I like this one of Hill and Von Trips in lively conversation and Mairesse looking on. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Seem to me it is III Prêmio Cinquentenário do ACB , 23/6/57. In first line: d'Orey for the Porsche 550, Casini for the 250M, Barberis for the 750M and ? for the 375.
Thanks for posting - love that pic of 0710/TR of Dick Brashear on the way to Laguna Seca in '62. Here it is in the pits after arrival: Image Unavailable, Please Login
He is identified in the photo! Peter Collins and wife Louise. Would have been 1956 F1 world champion had he not, while leading the Italian Grand Prix, voluntarily handed his Ferrari over to team-mate, team leader and at that moment three-time world champion, Juan Fangio whose car's steering had failed. Had Collins, who was leading, finished and won he would have been Britain's first F1 world champion. A very great driver whose name is almost never mentioned amongst the greats.
Are we talking about the same picture? In my opinion Marzotto is smoking the cigar in the picture Nathan is showing us. Andrea, who do you think it is then?
I knew smoking was common back then, but is the guy on the far left (next to Chinetti Sr.) actually holding a cigarette whilst smoking a pipe?? Love the Collins pic; wasn't there also a series of pics of him w/ some gorgeous pit candy w/ an impossibly small waist??
