Great week for another F-chatter here in Phoenix. Matt, (PHX328) bought my car and is looking forward to many new memories with the club, road trips and hand washing that beautiful Pininfarina design. Hopefully the group will give him and his wife a great welcome when he signs on and brings his enthusiasm to the 3x8 forum.

The '88 Argento / Tan car sold after only being listed on F-Chat classifieds for a week. It wasn't listed anywhere else. Thank you Rob for the forum and for sale section.

"Sherpa's" B sold very quickly. "Bullfighter's" GTS sold very quickly. My car sold very quickly. I'm sure there are many more changing hands at steady prices. We should be continuing to watch prices rise as these cars continue toward the top of desireability.

I bought my car for $56,675. Sold today for $56,000. Maintenance averaged out to around $800 to $1000 per year. Pretty Bulletproof. Gas Mileage averaged 19-20 with slow or fast driving. Lots of great memories - many priceless ones. Sad to see her go. Happy to find my next F-car.

Car bought in 2008. I think these will finally be passing their initial sticker prices on many...

328 is seriously the best buy out there in a near-classic sports car. Well bought, well sold, well bought by the new guy.

    Mike - That's classic! I am headed for a 355 or 550.

But I love the 308, 328 and 348. All fine and beautiful cars.

Congratulations on the sale! Good to hear that great cars are deservingly selling well.

I toyed with buying a 355 Challenge car last year, but I have been on the fence about selling my 328. A brilliant drive last weekend in sunny Seattle (yup, true) reminded me why. It is fast enough and well-balanced to keep spirited drives interesting while not too fast to not enjoy the engine's full rpm range and remain under license-suspension speeds. It has just the right amount of wind flow for topless motoring. It is simple enough and reliable to keep maintenance costs reasonable. Best of all, its driving feel reminds me of why I like the 328 the best as a sports car.

Having said this, the temptation of the right 355 Challenge or other F race car may be just enough to make the switch...or sell other cars instead. Therefore, I can understand what someone goes through selling one of these cars.

Good luck with the hunt for a 355 or 550.

I sold my original 328 with intentions to buy a 550. After a year of looking, I determined there were 2 kinds of 550's on the market. Well maintained examples that commanded a premium, or off-color, or high-mile, or junk cars for lower pricing. just months before I sold, the good 550's were going for thousands less. I missed my window of opportunity. I did enjoy the search and I learned a lot about them, especially which colors "work" and which don't. I finally ended up buying a 328 GTB as a really good one came available locally. Good luck with the search, it seems the 550's are a bit more reasonable now and I'd love to have one myself.

I know everyone has their own opinion but I must say I think the 328 is the most beautiful car ever to roll the road.

    Robb,

Remember when we met up around Mt. Evans a few years ago and went for a drive? I still have the picture you took of my GTB. Your 328 was really nice. I agree, prices on 328 seem to be firm.

Good luck on your future purchase.

Encouraging news as I may be faced with selling My 86 GTB to fund the restore of My Austin-Healey.

    Hahaha.

No but seriously, I think he hit the '2' on the keyboard instead of the 'zero'. I have made this same mistake myself from time to time.

Black Metallic and tan, only one in the GTB registry here and I haven't heard of another one yet.

Greetings everyone. Took delivery of the 328 from Robb today, he did a great job teaching me about the finer points of the car. Robb even had some vintage magazines with some features on the 328, a nice touch.

I had such a great time driving the 328 home. The wife was excited to see it when I arrived, and my sons age 2 and 4 went absolutely bonkers.

I have been sneaking around F-chat for more than a year (as a non-member) as I searched for the right first Ferrari. So without knowing it, many of you have already helped me, so thanks.

I really love the car, Robb did a tremendous job keeping the car in incredible condition during his ownership. He also did whatever it took to make it a “needs nothing” car, which was important for me as a first time buyer.

I look forward to getting to know you all and hope to see you out on the road! Thanks.

I have 80515, a Black Metallic over Gray Leather (and the extended leather option) '89 GTS; there are probably not many in this combination either...
