Is it like Bud Light Platinum? By that I mean, you just taste a stronger alcohol flavor. I'm drinking Red Hook IPA
I haven't tried Platinum (yet) so I can't make a direct comparison. It definitely has a strong flavor and I felt the kick of the 6% as compared to my usual diet o) beer (Miller 64). I'd say it has a stronger beer flavor than alcohol flavor because when I think of the latter I associate it with the "burn" of whiskey and such.
Customer brought me a six pack of Pyramid brewing's outburst IPA. Had two of them after work. They pack a nice kick

In Shiner's annual Family Reunion Pack they introduce one new beer every year. This year is Prickly Pear. A little sweet, but very good and refreshing.
Stiegl Paracelsus, amazing stuff if you love yeasty keller beers. Only a few places in Chicago serving it on draft, worth seeking this one out. Stiegl Paracelsus Zwickl - 78 at RateBeer
What a way to go... St. Rose man found dead in Kenner store's 'beer cave' | NOLA.com Must be incredibly agonizing news for his friends and family. RIP.
Anyone else on here use Untappd? www.untappd.com It's like foursquare, but for rating beers. Been using it for nearly two years. Can be very useful to track the beers you really dig, where your friends are drinking/what they are drinking, and to track your unique beers. Sadly, I'm only up to 247 uniques, where my gf is ahead by +50.
Thanks for the suggestion, I just got the app (gotta have something to do during a conference call right?), looks good so far!
It was my birthday and this was the present from my kids. How thoughtful if them!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login

Had a few Sam Smiths last night. If you like fruit beers, these are pretty darn good. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great beer and really thick for a porter. ABV is like 9.5 and it does not hide it. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I had the Oatmeal Stout last Friday night. Very tasty but a bit pricey @ $7.75 a bottle! Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout - Samuel Smith Old Brewery (Tadcaster) - Tadcaster, United Kingdom (England) - BeerAdvocate
