A very dark aubergine metallic color which really looks fantastic on the GT4 with beige interior, might be Prugna. It is a factory color which was ordered as special option according to the first owner (which still owns the car). Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hmmm, I wonder if that might be Rosso Bordeaux? My car was originally that color, but can't seem to find another one in that color.
So do you think this is Blu Serra? I bought it new in 75, it is the original colour (restored) and is not metalic. I thought it was Montecarlo Bleu although there was no indication of colour on the paperwork - just 'Blue'. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I like this color, it suits the 308 great. It was a fabulous weekend at Spa, I will be there again this year. Thijs
Very nice! Could you post another picture or two where we can see more of the swatches, maybe on white background? Cheers, Adrian
I've started a pdf file compliation of gt4 colors that can be shared. Each one will be on 8.5x11 and will be for each of the original paint colors. Let me know your thoughts on the the draft template below. Hi res photos of cars would be helpful as anything downloaded off the internet is low quality. This would be helpful for those trying to repaint to original to be able to see the car and paint chip with better definition. Thanks Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I've really been on the fence on colors when I had mine resprayed. This was the other candidate... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Robert Garven Ventura, CA 1975 Dino 308 GT4 Red/Black #10766 Thanks Rob, What is the name of the DARK blue on the right hand swatch? Wazza.
Sorry, I was answering to Thijs. For your car if the paint is not metallic then you must be right? Thijs, I will probably be at Spa Classic again this year. The last event was brilliant indeed. Let me know if you want to discuss GT4 .
Here is a dutch one i found on www.autofiends.com, and a british one from Flickr ('Trigger's Retro Road Tests'). Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
KaliforniaKid I'm not sure the legality of it (copyright rules perhaps?), but if you made all those pages in the order of the fan deck, and then somehow published them with nice quality paper, it would make a pretty awesome "book." Perhaps published with an online on-demand publisher, so each Fchatter/GT4er that wanted one could print their own at their own cost. Maybe we/the GT4 mafia/ can source you original photos (not scraped from other folks' websites) of each color car and this could become something real. It would make a great part of GT4 lore. And with the skills of some of the FChat photographers, it could be quite the art piece! Awesome work! Jonathan Denver, CO the Fiat RN
Fiat RN that is the plan!, if we can get high quality photos. I uploaded a few more tests, but these were pulled of other sites and not that great a quality. Fchat communitee, Please pass on good qulaity photos of our gt4's. [email protected] Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi alhbln & kaliforniakid, Thanks for the idea and work on this thread, over the years I have tried to save examples of every GT4 colour, taken from various angles, on my pc so it’s great to be able to see if I’ve got them right. I originally joined the forum to see a picture of the GT4 in Verde Germoglio, as I only had a 308GTB in that colour. I haven’t succeeded in getting an example of every colour listed in Bluemel’s book yet, but am pleased when I find a factory colour that wasn’t previously associated with a GT4. As we know money talks, so it’s not surprising to find factory colours not normally available. Thanks for posting your pictures, that’s only the 2nd time I’ve seen Blu Montecarlo and as it happens my one and only picture is the same car! Here it is:- Image Unavailable, Please Login
