What a load of crap! Just read this: "I've been a Formula One and a Ferrari fan for more than half a century. In all that time, I never saw the great team so feeble." This guy can´t remember what happened in 2005, or in 1992, or in 1986... or what?
However, and you can say what you like about him, "clueless" isn't one of them.... He certainly spoilt his legacy with the USF1 debacle but he's been around a *long* time, knows a lot of people and is still pretty well respected as a print journo. Cheers, Ian
Bleacher report is a crap site google it-it is not a professional news organization as the idiocy of the comment shredded above illustrates. It is a web business model not real reporting.
He must have been sleeping between 1983 and 1999....what an idiot! At least they've been competitive two of the last three seasons, bitterly losing to a come-from-behind in the last race by Red Bull/Vettel.
If Brawn was to come back, where would he fit in? He was awesome, but had a great team around him, many of whom are gone, and Schumi was at the height of his game and influence....... not so sure its Brawn we need. Domenicali comes across as a bit weak, but behind the scenes I get the impression he is very good at the politics which is the main part of his job, but the real difference is that we dont have an innovative piece to our design which makes us no better than many others, whereas Newey seems to always have one or two rules to stretch no one else saw.
Yes and no. We have lost some qualifying sessions and/or races because of Domenicali's dumb "strategy" decisions. Brawn wouldn't likely make those kind of errors. Brawn could buy HRT for one Euro and call it Brawn GP...
Here is an update to the OP: Ferrari spricht weiterhin mit Teamchef-Kandidaten | Automobil | MOTORSPORT aktuell The short of it is, that: - Horner stays longterm with RB - Horner probably went to Maranello to improve his market value while negotiating his new contract with RB - Domenicali still might get replaced as LdM has a candidate - Domenicali already might have some plan B lined up for himself Interesting development, we'll see.
The pit work and strategy this season have been probably the best. Now they need to fix the technical side... this reminds me of the Todt years pre-2000. The strategies of Mr. Brawn at Mercedes have been a disaster all season. At least if we believe the Schumi fans...
ROFL Yeah right, that's the ticket. Just as Domenicali's have been a disaster all season long according to the Massa fans...
Not sure what is funny at all about that. Mercedes' strategy calls were abysmal all year and there were even instances where they didn't get a car out in time in Q3 (Montreal for MS) due to poor timing...and I won't even get into reliability. However, I don't think it was Ross that was actually making those strategy calls, unless I'm mistaken.
Like Peter Sauber said last year, "Success has many fathers and failure is often an orphan". You win as a team and fail as a team. While Brawn can not control everything but as a team principle, he should take on larger part of the blame. His team should be better prepared and ready for change in strategy when needed. Same goes for Domenicali or any other team principles.
