Sold my 328 and now on the look for a 355 or 550 per my other thread in the general forum about wife wanting me to get a newer model.

If you are a private party (no dealers because of taxes) and thinking of selling your 355 GTB or GTS (6 speed manual), please send me a pm or email. I am looking to find the right car. I am not worried about higher miles - more the condition and that it has been serviced regularly. No spiders on this one.

Hopefully someone is buying a 430 or 458 and wants to sell their 355 to a private party rather than a trade to the dealer.

Open to ALL colors - But any Blue and Original shields get bonus points... I know, I may be waiting awhile.

Narrowing the search to GTS cars only due to the fabulous weather we have been having lately in AZ. I remember what I am already missing in selling my 328 - the targa...

So. Getting closer to the right one.

Great choice. I'm a fan of the GTB for sure, but the slightly less stiff chassis that folks claim on a GTS is more than compensated by a 8000 rpm rip with the roof off, especially with a tubi! As a GTS owner, I will just say to be prepared with a slightly creaky roof when it's on and slightly more noise than a GTB. The roof can be greased up to eliminate some creakiness. I have yet to drive my car in the rain and probably never will, so I can't verify if these cars leak or not. I live in FL and trust me, you'll be driving it with the roof off 90 percent of the time anyway.

6 speed manual is way to go too in IMHO. Good luck with the hunt!

I will add my $0.02 and say that I was a hard and fast pursuer of JUST a GTS 355 for the reasons cited in this thread. I ended up falling in love with a Swatters Blue/Tan '97 Spider and never looked back. I don't miss not having the GTS.

So my point is that, on behalf of all use Spider owners, don't dismiss the spider. It is arguably one of the most beautiful pure spiders Ferrari ever produced, IMHO. And with the top up -- for those rare moments when you want that to happen, can't imagine why :) -- the shape of the vehicle is still retained and it remains quite a beautiful machine.

    I'll shut up now.

I am still in the hunt after much crashing and burning...

I can only imagine that those looking for a good Daytona or vintage car grow despondent even quicker.

Looking for a GTB or GTS in blue or other less common color. My story fully written out on this search when completed will be a great read to say the least...

Your leads are of course appreciated via PM or email.
