Not only do I sell Novitec but I am a fan as well. I have represented many companies, some I keep and some I drop. Novitec has always been my favorite from a quality and service point of view.

Get some spacers from Capristo, they are especially made for the original Ferrari rims!
14mm front and 17mm rear and there is no bodywork required

Spacers are tricky. If you go for bigger ones, you have to do some bodywork. The fender has to be crimped and that might cause cracks in the paint....
I had several types of spacers on my SL55 and 911, once while turning, the tire touched the fender and the damage was big, so make sure there is enough space when the wheels are completely turned AND the shock absorber is compressed (inside).

Also I used spacers connected to the hub, but then you have 10 heavy bolts instead of 5 per wheel - 5 bolts you never see and never check.

I was happy to find spacers that are ultra lightweight. 4 Capristos including 20 titanium bolts are 3.5 KG e.g. 7.5 lb and that is less than the original Ferrari bolts itself.
The heavier the unsprung mass the less the driving quality

They clear I was going to get the capristo's which I like alot.I just wanted the wheel offset out farther.I also wanted the spacers connected either by the rim or the hub.I to have had problems with spacers anytime they float freely is a problem.I'm sure the Capristo's are good However if they were thicker MM's that's when the floating movement becomes a issue

Have you had any scruffing with the fenders at all? Unusual tire wear?

No. I contemplate (more) changes, like carbon fiber mirrors or door handles, but wonder when enough is enough? It is so easy to lose perspective. I am always amazed how the "new" becomes "old" and the eyes wonder yet again (in all things). Glad pictures help. Best

    Hi Bob,
would you mind posting a few more pictures if your time permits? I need to place spacers as well on white 458 satin black rims, cant decide on the 20 mm all around, 15/20 F/R combination or 15's all around!

    thanks very much,

I put 11's on front and 15's on back (see my original post on this thread)...in my view, going with 20's on front will be a bit too much. Also, to my eye, the rears need to be pushed out further than the fronts...I don't think 20/20 looks quite right because I believe the fronts are pushed just outside the plane of the front fenders. I'm happy with 11/15, but you can certainly get away with 15/20, just be prepared for a considerable amount of splash/road-grit hitting side of car.

Some will say that different front/rear will throw off handling...I can't feel it at road speeds, but would remove spacers for track work. One other point, the spacers do soften the ride (i guess it's the increased mechanical leverage on the suspension) and the bigger the spacers the more the leverage. I never think about using "bumpy road" anymore setting even with my 11/15 combo...whether that's a good thing or a bad thing will be up to you.

thank you kindly, very much appreciated. I think I will do 15/20 or 11/15 as you suggested. would you have some pictures handy from a front and back showing how close to fender plane the wheels are?

    thanks again,

@ Cengiz: to use smaller spacers at front than rear is a must! Dont use more than 15 mm at front and 20 mm at rear. My has 14/20 but I will change rear to 17 because I have lowered by using Novitec Springs and with the 20 mm at rear sometimes the tyres are touching the fenders.

More than 15 mm at front will have to much influence to the steering-geometry.

    All just my opinion!

    Regards - Webber45

I think the price difference of the HE and Capristo will force me to stick with the 11/15 combination as mine is also lowered, factory springs only. I think all suggestions are leading to this direction!!

Unfortunately I have it parked at winter place and I'm not there this weekend. I'll get a couple of shots for you next weekend if you haven't already decided by then.

Have not encountered any need with 11/15. Had same combo on a previous California for a couple of years with no handling issues or unusual tire wear.

Personally I like the even offset to the OEM's using 20mm bolt on spacers all around even with the floating issue most tire retailers won't install or even change the tires with floating spacers for whatever reasons of liability
