The combination of Horacio's enthusiasm and ability, together with AMG's trickery is something one underestimates at their peril.
Definitely. And it is just the beginning. Just the beginning. As someone said, history repeats itself.
The Huyara would be my only other choice, it carries the same spirit with Ferrari imo and I am not concerned at all about the AMG engine... Deserving of every success.
Are there DRS legal zones on a public road somewhere? Will there be a sensor that informs you are less than 1 second behind the car in front so you can use if without being black flagged Pete
IF Ferrari were to DISCARD all the electronics off the F70 ( power assisted braking and steering, ABS, ESP, ASR, E-Diff , F1-Trac control software, etc ), all the airbags and the sound damping coatings, HOW MUCH WEIGHT COULD THEY SHED OFF IT ???
Your right: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wWI0mpK3x0]Pagani Huayra - Test Drive On Top Gear | Series 19/Episode 1 - YouTube[/ame]
Strange. It was 3 sec faster than then Mp4 12C on the Top Gear track (where the Mc is supposed to have been tested at length) but EVO found the Pagani just .3s faster around Blyton park...
It's still tacky. Its doors, the interior, the flaps and have you seen the key? Pagani Huayra video review Car Video | Autocar
And some years ago leeches were used in medicine. Easy in hindsight. And anyway I don't very much agree, there's always been Lamborghini for that
Arguably, Pagani has had a very good start, with a lot of lessons learned elsewhere at someone else's cost or benefit. Ferrari's quality depth has improved massively, in clearly defined steps; Ferrari were never immune from intricacies and quirks but this is something one used to get in terms with. In fact, all Modenese companies went through the same path, with varying degrees of success according to their ownership structures. I wonder where Pagani will be in ten years time; the only proverbial threat imo is the possible shift of attention of AMG to new competing projects such as Aston Martin. Back to the F70, my opinion is that it has to employ a balance between performance and usability. Assuming the extent of what we hear materialises (I've not seen the F70 yet), I sense that we'll get a very special car with a more traditional feel in some ways. Brilliant.
