+1. Matte colors make cars look unfinished and cheap.

I too think matte is a fad and if it goes out of style, very limited buyers will be out there. But, then again, I thot rap music would be a flash in the pan.....

I have always thought that too. Particularly matte black. I think ferrari chose a matte finish that is on another level.

I think hatchbacks are fads too but its a growing market. As long as the fad lasts longer then length of ownership its good! Haha

I would go to jail to get that combo of your car. Just beautiful my friend!

    Re f12 question:
Seeing the bright white on F12...go with white. It seems to be the new red for Ferrari. :)

Does Ferrari offer a matte white? That would be pretty sexy.

Yeah I guess they can do anything you want for the right price. These new matte colours they have don't look cheap at all as they almost have a satin or pearl look to them. Kind of like a frosted colour.

Holy Moses I just wet my pants and my screen looking at matte aluminum finish.

Only issue will be maintaining that finish one scratch and you need to repaint panel :(

Matte white makes the car look like a giant egg shell not as cool in person from seeing other makes do it like lamborghini aventador.

Does anyone know the color code for the matte aluminum? I want to build a model in that color, but my local PPG rep does not have such a paint name in his catalogue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

I wonder if those that distaste the matte finishes (remind u that i am one as well), if they realize its not just matte aluminum but pearlescent as well?

I would go Grigio Ferro Met ... just like I specced my 599 HGTE. Love that colour and would work very well on the F12 imo.

If i had the means i wouldn´t mind having it in white either, or withou painting, these cars are awsome anyway!! But i simply don´t like white cars, and if a Ferrari isn´r red (it should always be!) than IMO grey/silver is the best colour.
    congrats on your 458

Just proves how people have different likes.
Myself for example,I refused to drive a Red 458 Spider in South of France last Summer.
Just because I refuse to drive Red cars.
Took a Grey new 911 Cab instead....

Wow absent, even when I was driving 928's (I have had a 78, 86, and a 90) I'd never taken a 911 over most any Ferrari of the time, although the 928's were much better cars than the 911s anyway ... But you are right, we all have different likes. The Porsche certainly would blend in much better.

Not digging the matte color either. White is just to plain. Have to say tri stage yellow or the new electric blue will be my choice

Color choice is a very personal issue, there is no such thing as one particular color that is only right for any car.
Red gives me a headache for some reason....
    But,in 1987 I had a Rose Metallic 928S4,believe it or not...

Pearl white...the name of which I forget. A bus to me is a little harsh and flat for the F12 lines and proportions. Isn't there another Matte that looks more like a champagne? I've seen pics somewhere but I never saw the name.

Very good problems to have! Yes, Fuji is exquisite on the f12. There's a foreign site, maybe
Dutch, that has an excellent collection of f12 spots. That's where I saw the matte Ingrio and the Bianco Fuji.

    Keep us posted.
