What does a good copy of the original Le Mie Gioie Terribili (Italian version) go for? I have the English version by HH 1963.
A Christmas present to my self! I just ordered a copy of Tony Adriaensens' Sporterfolge. If you are familiar with either Weekend Heroes or Ten Days In Sicily, then you'll know that his next book will no doubt live up to the same standards in quality. Ten Days In Sicily is one of my favorite books, a real go to book. So I wait with great anticipation for this new book to arrive. A description of the book can be found here: http://www.corsaresearch.com/ I ended up purchasing my book through autonetcarbooks as they have some signed copies available. http://www.autonetcarbooks.com/porsche-sporterfolge-by-tony-adriaensens-p-431911.html Did anyone receive any books from Santa this year? Merry Christmas to all Matt
I bought Sporterfolge last week at the presentation, a great book even if it's only on Porsche. The images are fantastic with a lot of atmosphere in them. The quality of the printing is of great quality. Hugo
Not a Ferrari title but interested for many of us. Maserati A6G 2000 Zagato by Walter Baumer. This is the first book devoted exclusively to the Maserati A6G 2000 model with coachwork by Zagato, one of the most beautiful GT cars ever built. The cars were strong and successful contenders in the 2-liter class and were actively raced in the Italian GT Championship in the second half of the 1950s, winning their class in 1956 and 1959. The cars also participated in legendary races like the Mille Miglia, Targa Florio and Giro d`Sicilia. This history of the twenty-one cars made by Officine Maserati S.p.A. in Modena and bodied by Carrozzeria Zagato in Milan, is listed chassis by chassis and profusely illustrated with period photographs and documents. First major release of the book will be at Retromobile in Paris in February, 2013 Sample: http://www.daltonwatson.com/files/Zagato_SAMPLE.pdf Hugo
Banca popolare dell'Emilia Romagna published a new book: Maranello e il suo Museo. Mainly pictures and little italian text, in the last pages of the book is a english translation. I think it's not commercially for sale but a lot of them will show up on the italian ebay. Hugo Image Unavailable, Please Login
Museum Casa Enzo Ferrari released a large softcover catalogue on the Ferrari/Maserati exhibition. All cars from the exhibition are featured, stories from the people who lived the Ferrari/Maserati challenge. Text in English and italian. Hugo Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hugo My copy just arrived today and I've spent a good couple of hours going over it and I'm barely 1/4 of the way through! This is truly a wonderful publication, as you say the photos are full of atmosphere and detail with superb print quality. It's not the cheapest book on the shelf at 185euros, but it's easily one of the best produced books I've seen this year. Simply fantastic! 640 pages of sports car heaven! Cheers Matt
Mea culpa Nathan all others I offended. Found this little Italian booklet on ebay. Hugo Image Unavailable, Please Login
LOL! I specially wrapped a few Pcar books from my library, and re-gifted them to a Pcar owner for Christmas...they are not bad people, just DIFFERENT!!
Lots of Ferrari content too, but there's always a Porsche in the scene. Well worth checking out if you're a student of 50's sports car racing. Matt
Hello All The book is now available to order at www.maserati-book.com and will be ready to ship out on 1st/2nd Feb. What's the current value of the 1984 Piloti Che Gente??? Anyone know (non Cartier edition, English language)?? EDIT: $89USD, as I bid $88! No worries..... I have one.....
Try www.abebooks.com to see the prices booksellers have these books at. $19.99 is the lowest price (but take care to look at stated condition as well as price). $46.95 is the lowest for Piloti che Gente in English. Jonathan
Is there a particular book anyone would recommend for someone looking to start researching the 4 cylinder sports cars of the 50s? Ideally one with both lots of period action pictures of the cars and technical information, race results etc, or if need be two separate books. Thanks
Thanks. Just making a start on Cavallinos. Saw Quattro Cilindri but it's a bit pricey. I don't mind paying it, just want to be sure it's worth the money. Do you have it? Any good?
Maserati - The Citroën Years -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ////////////////////////////////////////////// The book is now available to order at Maserati - The Citroën Years (Order now) - Eau Rouge Publishing and will be ready to ship out on 1st/2nd Feb//////// The website now says available to order instead of preorder, so presumably it is ready as planned. Has anyone seen a copy yet and recommend it? My maiin question: does anyone know if the only difference between standard and deluxe is the slipcase (and the cost of course!)? Is the deluxe signed and numbered or anything like that?
Hi The book came off the press last week and we starting shipping yesterday. The deluxe edition (£175) is slipcased, numbered (250 copies) , signed and comes with a limited edition art print and a USB stick with a high resolution pdf copy of the book. The standard edition is £90.00. Regards Doug Eau Rouge Publishing
