They are incomparable in size, effectiveness and function.

Right - I'm guessing along with 90% of the other posts here, as it seems a very limited number of people have had the pleasure of seeing the new car.

Oh really? Seems you are the one guessing now. ;)

Yes - and all active rear wings were created equally. ;)

Depends on which flag - I think we have a green flag to look forward to once each company reveals their car completely and I very much look forward to the race. :)

+1000 seems Mclaren PR infesting this forum, I just hope they pay well for the job

The maths for fiorano and Nurburgring lap times doesn't make sense, should be faster at Fiorano at around 1:17

The wing does definitely look smaller and it's visible in the last Marchettino's pic. But I believe the diffuser will also work better and it will probably have no childish drs buttons as result or Kers ones

I take offense to that. I've been reading FerrariChat for a decade and registered and subscribed for most of that time. Yes, I may have a keen interest in McLarens, but I'm not a paid shill (unfortunately) and am nearly equally as enthusiastic about Ferraris as at the root of it all I am a car enthusiast.

If this thread were about Mother Theresa and someone mentioned the F1 I'd probably have something to say, especially when people get the facts wrong or incomplete. Apologies for the distraction to you, but if you find my posts that bothersome there is an ignore feature available to you and I won't miss you reading my posts. ;)

I can't say anything too specific, but I can tell you the second version will considerably faster than the 'standard F150'.

Don't take it personally, it's not you introducing Mclaren's talk from nowhere

This is probably due to the KERS engine used. some electric engines give 100% of their torque at 0RPM, and since you cant rev a NA engine at less then 1000RPM this is the RPM that they used for combined.. This also means the NA engien will produce massive amounts of torque at low end as well, cause I can't imagine the 150hp electric producing massive amounts of torque (compared to a 6.3l NA)

All electric motors give 100% torque at 0rpm, it's just a trait of electric motors.

Wouldn't it take at least 1rpm to supply the torque? At 0rpm it is doing a whole lot of nothing. :D

Sorry - I know that's the standard statement, but it's always bugged me.

Actually no they don't, but that's a more EE technical discussion..

Again no they don't need to have any RPM to have torque,as torque is just Force and that's available even when the engine is stationary.

Can you say anything about the difference between the two versions? Power, weight, styling, KERS etc...

I'm positive that the street version will feature the KERS system. No doubt about that. :)

    From another forum:

A few more details I forgot about previously:

The Ownership Contract will either be 2 years or 3 years -- just long enough to f@ck with the speculators

A/C and Hi-Fi will be No Cost Options (purists will not want the additional weight penalty, but with 950 BHP on tap this shouldn't be a major issue)

The car will come fully loaded so there isn't an options list -- people can still opt for the more bespoke tailor-made options but the base car will have everything most people need

    Lucky you. :)

Actually I've also been a little underwhelmed by the sound of the Enzo. I believe it lacks depth and sheer loudness. I can understand why some owners fit their cars with aftermarket exhausts. However, I really enjoy the sound of the F12 so the starting point for the F150 is great. I'm also sure that they will futher sound engineer the exhaust note before it is officially revealed.
One of my favorite V12 sounds must come from the Zonda F because of its manic and high pitched sound.

Anyway, really looking forward to your video.

With Zonda, I would add Carrea GT V10. To me, those are best engine sounds that I`ve ever heard.
