Hum, I have 2 GTR and here is my butt dyno.
2011 tuned with intake and midpipe and exhaust (120 extra hp than stock)
vs 430, GTR feel faster very noticeable
vs scuderia, GTR feel faster noticeable
vs 458, GTR feel faster noticeable

    2013 stock.
vs scuderia, feels like even match
vs 458, feels like even matach

now the 2013 is tuned with intake/midpipe/exhaust 575hp on wheel 600lb torque
blew everything away. best daily ever >=)

man i just read all the posts after I replied.

seriously, no need to hate, is a faster car, can't ignore that.
It also can't replace a Ferrari thats another fact.
Why all the bashing as if people are telling you to replace your F car with that?

I think ferrari owners just like owners of other high end exotics don't like or want to hear that a japanese car that is a lot cheaper... i.e.... honda civic.... nissan gtr... mazda rx7 outperforms their car that they paid 100 times more for...

Its like stealing a brides thunder on their wedding day :(....... lol

According to Wikipedia the GTR is more rare than either the 430 or 360 with only 6,877 GTRs having been produced worldwide to date, so the GTR may be more unique. The 360, 430 and the GTR are all terrific cars.

OK I did two searches on google images to settle this thing once and for all.

"Nissan Babe" returned 13 out of 100 images of women as Blondes and
"Ferrari Babe" returned 27 out of 100 images of women as Blondes.

So I think that wraps this up!! LOL

My thoughts way back when. The GT-R guys LOVE to menace Ferraris...they live for that. To make the conquest sweeter, they will always tell you their monster-modified GT-R is "stock" after they blow your doors off. I do not know one GT-R owner who has owned the car for more than a few months and the thing is still stock. I'm sure there are some out there, but not many. It's so easy to throw $2k at it and add 100 - 200 HP.

Amazing advanced scientific methodology! I believe your findings should be deemed conclusive and definitive on the point...whatever it was...hummm...well, 27/100 blond Ferrari babes should stand for something..:)

Later: Just conducted my own research and have verified your results...for my tastes...the Ferrari babes on google clearly out perform the GT-R babes...I thiink...got too distracted to keep an accurate tally. Again, just MHO.

I passed Lotus Elises and Minis on the curves in my heavy 911 turbo... it only means the drivers have different skill levels regardless of the vehicles

I got passed by a 535 Wagon in my 911 one time too...

Are you going to slap a "Lotus" badge on it to make the whole situation more palatable? :)

I will humbly offer up a quick word on this subject.

As a Lamborghini Murcielago owner, I have pulled on some F430s (I wont say with Ease in fear of offending), but I wasnt to worried that I wouldnt win (not that it matters, I like the fight, but of course prefer to win). I see an F430 and I think 'tasty' but admitedly I've not run against a Scuderia, which is a car I love passionately. It might be a different story.

That said (and I've driven a number of scuderias to truly love them), neither my Murcielago or a Scuderia or F430 has much of a chance against a 2012+ GTR stock for stock.

Now agreed, we are talking about 'older' cars on our Italian sides vs their 'newer tech,' but I assure you the new GTRs do zero to 60 in 2.6-2.7 sec, which is no match for 456.

I wrote a post on NAGTROC (where the owners of GTRs hang out) saying that I hated the GTR so much (after owning one) because It made me want one even when I already had a Murci.

Yesterday, I went to Bel Air MD and bought my second GTR, a 2013 Black Edition. Sure I agree, they dont have the Italian lustful design, but give credit where credit is due, you dont want to tangle with one, even if 'they drive themselves.' More times then not, they will make us italian drivers look like a fool if we try to compete with them. Just wave them off like you cant be bothered, so they dont embarrass you. Its EXACTLY what I would do, if I was running around in my Murci and one rolled up on me. Then again, I might say, 'hold on punk, let me go home and get mine'

    :)

They are that good of a car, even if you dont like all the electronics, the japanese styling (not my favorite), their AWD, Turbo setup is a beast.

Happy motoring to you all... if you took grave offense to something I said, then I guess your not seeing I am passionate for the italians just as I am the GTRs.

I have passed Lamborghini SVs, Scuderias, Vettes, CS', GT3s on the track in just a hopped up Miata. What's everyone's point?

I own both, the F430 and the GTR. Stock for stock, the GTR would pull away all day long, I'd say 2-3 cars on the highway. The F1 shifts are terrible compared to the GTR, so is torque.

So to level the playing field.. with twin turbos on the 430.. would it be harder for the GTR to walk? ;) I've always held all things equal, turbo to turbo : NA to NA. I've personally preferred torque curves and response of a NA engine to that of a turbo driven power plant.

    WOW!

Some of the Ferrari owners in here are major D bags.

Seems about the same on the GT-R forums though....

The one thing I hate the most are brand whores. If it's a good car then buy it! Who cares what brand it is. Makes you look insecure and shallow. The only reason you bought a Ferrari was for the image. Just sad.

I doubt most purchased Ferrari because it is the fastest car, everyone know there are many other cars that outperform them. If you buy a GTR you are buying performance which is unrivaled dollar for dollar. I doubt you buy a GTR because of its sexy lines, sound and driving experience.

I've owned all kinds of cars 360, sls, Gallardo, sl63, cls63, e46 m3, evo's, flying spur, ect, ect. Hands down the best all around car I've ever owned. I'm about performance and comfort. I literally sold my sls, 2 months after I've had the GTR because the sls felt like a turd compared to the GTR. I enjoy driving this car so much that I put over 20k miles on it last year! With plenty of other cars I can drive. Just my .02:)

Name calling, warranted or not, is juvenile. In this case you think both are %^$, so I assume you went with a different brand all together and thats fine.

Brand whore is just a nasty way (read "negative") to say: Brand Loyalty. Its perfectly fine and quite human to stick with a brand you like. I assure you that 97.65% of Ferrari households have other marques in the garage.

Brand image is very important and marketing departments strive for it through consistent quality, performance, pricing, and meeting the customer expectations. For any market segment you buy by brand daily, knowingly or not. Starbucks, Pepsi, Burger King, Nike, Apple, Bridgestone, Braun, etc.

Nissan has a great brand, and has a much larger demographic than Ferrari. They make quality cars, trucks and SUVs. They are trying to increase their brand recognition as a sports car company with the GT-R model. Lexus recently did this with the LFA, BMW does this with the M line, and Merc does it with AMG.

Nissans primary goal in creating the wonderful GT-R was to alter their branding, which is what makes your comment so interesting.

    so you scientific method proves
    1. that GT-R is slower than the F360 or F430 around corners?

    Nurburing course
Time for GT-R (7:38), Time for Scuderia (7:39), Time for 360CS (7:56) - Same driver for all 3 cars

List of Nürburgring Nordschleife lap times - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    2. That 4-seaters are not proper super cars?

    Can I offer 997 991TTS? Ferrari FF? Ferrari 612?

FWIW, I own a 360CS. Love that car but I give respect where it's due. I don't make up imaginary stats and shoot my mouth off.
So you drive a 360 faster than some guys drive their GT-R. So what? When I drive my wife's Lexus SUV, it will be much faster than my wife drives the 360CS. What does this prove?
