Hard to go wrong with either of the two shops mentioned already - where in San Diego is the car located, and are you coming down to view it? I believe both shops are pretty open about letting you observe as they run through the PPI.
The car is in fact at Cavallo. I've been dealing with Jim on this 99 F1 GTS 355 Black/Black Beautiful car. Tubi, Gruppe M, challenge grill, Perfect records and perfect interior. I have instructed Jim to do the PPI and I will close the deal pending the satisfactory result. Jeff
Tell me more! They are doing the PPI and leak down Monday. From everything I've heard these guys are reputable. The car appears to have been loved! I am looking forward to good news and picking it up. I will be selling my Daily Driver Spider incidentally. Though it is a salvage title, requiring a major, and some what cosmetically rough, it has given me approaching 3 years of absolute trouble free driving and goes like a scaled dog. Big brake kit (front), Challenge grill, Challenge wheels, (new Michelin pilots), Tubi and royal purple lube every 3K. for approx. 30K. Car is triple black and will come with a carbon fiber removable Jett top. (hard top)
Carfax on this car has a lot of smog test failures but not TOOO much of a concern however, perhaps someone here has knowledge or insights on the car via the serial tag. The tag is ZFFXR42A3X0115656. Thanks in advance. Jeff
Does anyone knopw of any other shops other than Bobileff and Cavallo for a PPI? Ferrari of SD does not do PPI''s anymore. Just "Safety Inspections"
