I know and I'm sorry for that. It will give You a small comfort that I can't wait to see the car again and for longer. But as a 100% Ferraristi I can guarantee You the guys there have given us something we can be more than proud of.................
Compared with the mule the rear overhang is shorter and absolutely stunning. The headlights partly continue the current style but are integrated in a aggresive but to me beautiful front. The car was rosso-corsa with bi-color black. It has a chance to become the most beautiful car in the world for me because the proportions are just so spot on in every detail.
No way I'm buying that! I can't believe they're not allowing virtually any colour at a corresponding price. Not now that customers have become used to order any colour and Ferrari makes a nice profit from it.
I'm curious myself to scale it over the real thing, but unfortunately my daytime job keeps getting in the way of my plans ;-) Will try to do it before the car is introduced.
Even though I could never afford one, as an enthusiast I would be in awe if they just said that this is the new Ferrari hypercar, offered only in the same red hue as the F1 cars, whether you people like it or not! Oh and of course charge crazy money for that obligatory rosso colour anyway...
I think it will be possible. Why Ferrari are claiming otherwise is beyond me. IIRC, Ferrari initially stated that the Enzo would only be available in Rosso Corsa, Giallo Modena and Nero. We know that quite a few examples left the factory in a number of other colors including Rosso Dino, Bianco Avus, Grigio Titanio, Blu Pozzi and so on. I think we can expect history to repeat itself. Ferrari may have been able to get away with this kind of thing in the 80's and 90's, but not today. Not when rival manufacturers like McLaren, Bugatti, Pagani and Koenigsegg are more than willing to cater to the requests of the most discerning clients. The Tailor-Made personalisation programme is there for a reason.
Because I bet that there will be a very expensive "non-standard paint" option. And if everything but red, yellow and black is "non-standard"...
I've seen the new Enzo and all I can say is WOW. and WOW again. I have never seen a car like it before, it makes the current Enzo look boring. The car is beautifully detailed, a true work of art. Ferrari must be very proud. McLaren might as well give up with their P1, comparing it to the new Enzo in terms of styling is actually comical, the F150 makes the P1 look like a standard MP4-12C in comparison.
Of course they will let people order other colors, the Enzo was also only available in three colors. Also, there is very little ferrari won't do if you show them the $. Just like the luxury headphones ad I saw on this site earlier today...
