It's quicker than 1:20, but if that P1 time is accurate that would mean the F150 would have to run around Fiorano quicker than a de-restricted 333SP to keep up.

I'd like to know what tires and what ride height this alleged Catalunya lap was done with.

Will you be canceling your order? Even though I hoped to drive your car I understand if you do.

I was also told at the Factory that they thought P1 would be "close" to me at The Ring. That's why I guessed 6:55.

Again, with what tires and what ride height? If it is capable of that kind of speed on genuine street tires and at a realistic street ride height, we'll all be gobsmacked. But I'm doubting that's the case.

Apples and oranges. There was a comparison test done of the 458c vs. 458 gt3 and standard 458 by one of the gt3 drivers. His conclusion was that the 458c was by far the fastest and the standard car was almost as fast as the gt3. Don't forget the gt3 has intake restriction cutting 100hp and a single clutch gearbox vs the other versions of the 458. So, comparing the f70 vs 458c and p1 vs. gt3 and trying to draw any meaningful conclusion is pointless.

Got a link to that comparison or know where I could find it? Quite interested to see what sort of times were posted....

I remember when Road & Track or MotorTrend got their hands on a Corvette ZR1 (638hp) and a C6.R GTE (~480hp) and the C6.R smoked the ZR1 in every test. Kinda makes me doubt the fact that the 458 road car would be faster than a slicked and winged stripped out GT3 car....

BTW, the 458 road car is 570hp correct? The GTE/GT2 car is around 470-480hp, the GT3 is something like 510-540hp and the 458C is roughly the same as the road car IIRC. Not a huge amount between them other than weight, aero, tyres and suspension/chassis.

This is not far off some of my thoughts on the car, it seems legitimate. I'm curious why he didn't talk about some the more expensive (cost) options. The easiest way to think of the cost of some these options is: F12 option prices +40-50%. I'm really hoping Ferrari go through with their plans regarding the second version and that they get the record they're after.

He was asked a number of questions after he posted his impressions of the car but he explained that he didn't want to give too much away.

While we're on the subject of options, a member here mentioned that the car will come "fully loaded" and that there will not be a traditional options list. Can you tell us if there is any truth to this?

Jim, would this mean that the P1 would be difficult to live with in street driving due to its aggressive set up?

I think Forza tested the Challenge versus the GT2 or GT3 car and found the GT car to be faster than the challenge car.

Just a reminder to those of you quoting a 1.20 lap time for Fiorano, remember this is a time ran without aerodynamics in play. Once the wraps come off of the F150 then proper times will be set.

The mule, without the active aero, has done a time under 1:20. Will you be getting an F150? If so, did ************ to you about the various options?

    Ah true.
Well, for sure I will see it but I won´t give it too much attention.
As someone may know here, my attentions will be dedicated to something else.... ;-)
