Hah! Well, the California rims and blue BMW kinda give it away... We decided to have a small road side party. One CHP car for each one of us... Thanks Pinoy, butcher, and biglee! All worked out well. I even got a hand shake and a thank you. Nice guys.
Great. Russ and friends have a great warehouse there. Did you find anything good at Ferrparts? Your 360 looks great. And you have admirable constraint driving that distance with controlled speed when all the Tahoe return commuters were admiring your car. The challenge grill looks so good on a 360. I have a challenge grill on my F355 as well, but I always like how you can see a lot more of the innards through the 360 challenge grill, as compared to seeing primarily the heat shields and airboxes through the 355 challenge grill. I liken the challenge grill on my F355 to lingeree, as it is a little tease to what is hiding underneath. Whilst the more modern cars are more liberated and don't mind "showing the goods" through the clear rear window to the adoring voyeuristic, peeping-Toms... Sometimes sexiness requires a little restraint. Ha ha. Seriously, nice car Softwaredrone!
Yes. I just happened to be in that area when a friend of mine opened the passenger door and we heard a loud "POP". I called Brian and he met me at the shop and sold me a new replacement part for the door at a great price. I took the door panel off the next morning and installed the part. Thanks! It is annoying having people constantly driving in your blind spot. I was just tired and was basically on auto pilot. It does give me a good feeling though having people admire the car as I have put a lot of work into it to make sure it is pristine.
beautiful 458 9am this morning on Laurel St in San Carlos. Didn't want to wave b/c I wasn't in the Ferrari - would look weird.
Today around noon, black 308 in the SaveMart parking lot off Folsom Blvd. near 65th street in Sacramento. FYI, your right rear brake light is not fully illuminating.
That was me Albert! Thanks again for your help with that problem. Vraiment, my car is pretty loud! Lucky73, I have Capristo Stg 3, Hyperflow cats and Fabspeed headers for exhaust, everything else is stock. She screams to me when I'm driving it, but still haven't heard what outsiders hear when I fly by. I'm told it's pretty unreal. Keep spotting all!
Anytime, bro. Always good to help out another F-brother. I have heard both yours's and SKUSA's cars first hand...both Black Berlinettas with Capristo 3's, both of your cars "scream to the Gods!" Both of you guys represent the F355 sound exceptionally.
Been a while since I've posted here. Almost forgot about this thread. Saw a dark blue Nissan GT-R on Zolezzi this morning. GORGEOUS white Ferrari FF heading south on 395 this afternoon just before 2:30. The owner has gone through many Ferraris over the years (trades them in for new ones). To my understanding, he owns the Wild Orchid Gentlemen's Club here in town. -Gil
Just watched a black 458 spider, top open, Ferrari of San Francisco paper plates, fly off the 101 south bound at Central San Rafael at 5:00 pm, Sunday. The driver comes off the freeway, way too hot, cuts me off, crosses three lanes of traffic left, then cuts all the way back right, just to get to first position at the red light to make a right turn onto Second Street. Never used a turning signal. Then while waiting at the light, he admires himself in the mirror and begins stroking his black hair - what kinds of things come to mind? Entitled, oblivious to those around him, unsafe, self-absorbed. Ferraris come with lots of baggage -- including, accurate or not, the preconceived notions about who owns and drives them. This kind of stuff just reinforces the negative assumptions out there. Unfortunate.
Saw a black Audi R8 Spyder heading north on 395/580 near Damonte Ranch yesterday afternoon. Also saw two Nissan GT-Rs at separate times throughout the evening; one dark blue and one silver. -Gil
I have a few spots that I will post this evening with pictures. @reno_ferrari, that 458 is most likely XSSSIVE's car. -Gil
eddevine's username always looks like eddie irvine to me. eddie irvine used to live on my street in miami and i'd see him driving the loudest Black Enzo you ever heard on the street
Here are a couple of photos of recent spots from this past week. The Aston Martin was at UNR and the R8 was on the freeway. Looks SOOO good in that color. -Gil Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes sir, it sure was. Judging by the plate haha. You still want to get together and talk about a possible behind the scenes videoshoot? Just got a bunch of new equipment including a jib I really want to put to good use.
