Saphira had an intermittent misfire that was difficult to find, and it kept activating a blinking to constant Check Engine Light on my control panel.

When Saphira is not operating properly, it takes the fun out of driving her; hence, I dropped her off to T&R Automotive, and TAForza performed extensive and delicate diagnostic scans and procedures to seek the problem, locate the problem, and eliminate the problem -- just like Seal Team 6.

Today, 29-December-2012, I picked her up and prepped her for my dinner date tonight...hmm, where to feed?

TAForza: Thanks for all the great work and getting Saphira back to factory specs.!

Alfonso, why do you have so much issues with your car? It seems like Tony's garage is your best friend.

Is it because you have all those lights and modifications on it or is it just because you don't drive it like a Ferrari is supposed to be driven??

    Happy New Year!

My CEL light came back on so I took the 360 back to Tony. After some diagnostic work, Tony replaced an O2 sensor and fixed a EVAP leak. Car is running great! I cannot recommend T & R enough.
    Thanks Tony.

Yes, I heard that he will even drive his Ferrari in a light drizzle. :) I think the conflicting goals of increasing performance and gas mileage while reducing emissions adds a lot of sensors and electronics to the car and more points for potential failure. Happy New Year also Tony and Chrigel and thanks Tony for all your help last year and numerous times we have socialized whether over a feast or pizza. :)

So, I got back into SF on 31-January-2013 to attend an event.

I noticed that the plastic window to my spyder was all fogged up; hence, I drove her to a place that fixes convertible tops -- I didn't think about T&R at the time because I didn't think TAForza worked on repairing, conditioning, and maintaining spyder tops and plastic windows.

The guy wanted charge me a little over a thousand bucks to replace the little plastic window because he mentioned that the window was not repairable.

I was about to sign the work-order; then, I suddenly stopped, and I told the guy I will think about it and left.

I went by T&R, yesterday, 1-February-2013, and I was surprised to see the overflow of cars: 355, 550s, 360, 458, California, Quattroporte, Porsche 993, 430, and civilian cars (e.g., Range Rover, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, and Ford).

T&R had to close two pumps down, so he can park a 355 on the lot. I had to park on the sidewalk and wait about 20 minutes to get my car on the lot.

Finally, when he got to me, I asked:
"TAForza, my plastic window is all fogged up -- I'm thinking it got all fogged up because I don't drive my Ferrari like the way it is supposed to be driven -- do you think all those LED lights I put on Saphira fogged up my window?"

He looked at me like I was out there on Pluto and asked, "What are you talking about?" Then, he chuckled and said, "Oh, I get ya."

TAForza told me to come back in an hour. When I returned, my plastic window was all cleared up and was good as new.

For me, the downside is that business has picked up so much for him that it is gonna take him about two weeks to change the oil and do a safety inspection on my car before my big drive coming up.

Thanks, TAForza, for the great work; and, yes, your garage is my best friend -- no doubt about it!

I can't say enough about Tony; he was just brilliant! He fabricated a mount & installed the rear challenge tow hook perfectly on my scuderia with amazing attention to detail...even painted several barely viewable hex nuts to match my canary yellow hook.

Told me it might take a day, picked it up in exactly a day with a big smile on my face. I've been waiting over a year to do this, and the people who kept promising me they'd do it just never stepped up to the plate. If I had heard of Tony sooner, it would have saved me some aggravation & frustration.

As they say, better late than never :)

Look at my awesome cup holder, it's bloody stellar!

I have to go back again soon and have my tail light checked out because some crazy lunatic tried yanking one off as I was eating shabu shabu and watching in disbelief through the window...the sheninigans these idiots try never cease to amaze me. Even had the audacity to tell me he was just admiring it & never touched anything as I came out to tell him off *sigh*

I took my car to Tony to have the exhaust manifolds replaced as well as some other services. When I came up there yesterday to pick up the car, I was handed the bill, and I thought to myself, "Fair price". But when I was handed the credit card reciept to sign, I noticed that the amount was half of what the invoice was. So I asked the tech who handed me the reciept if they were charging me half on one transaction and the other half on another transaction or something. I looked at the invoice again, realized that I had mistaken the invoice NUMBER with the invoice AMOUNT. Tony was really charging me HALF of what I thought the bill was going to be! Additionally, the services were done on time, the car runs perfectly, nothing was dented, scratched or missing (take your car to enough shops and you will learn that this is a luxury, not standard operating procedure) and was freshly washed!!
I cannot say enough good things about Tony and his crew.
    :)

I bent my right front rim while doing a milk run in San Francisco a few days ago.

I didn't think that TAForza did rim-jobs...whoa...that didn't come out right did it? Strike that...let me rephrase...I did not think TAForza repaired damaged rims...well, he does.

It took about one day to get the repairs done. He got my rim true again and painted my challenge straddle rim to factory color, and I was back on the roads doing my milk run route through the city.

If you are new to driving through the city with your Ferrari, beware of pot-holes -- the city is poorly managed, and all our tax dollars seem to be going to places other than to places that they are suppose to go, such as, but not limited to, fixing and making our streets better.

On a positive note about the city, I submitted a claim to the DA's office, and they were very responsive -- they paid my claim. Thank you, City and County of SF.

    Mille grazie senore TAForza.

    Hi, FreshMeat.

I like your rear tow-eyelet. I have one in front of my F430; I will have to drop by TAForza and request one for my rear. Thanks for the pic.

For the regular 430, you should get the official 430 front Challenge hook. I have a Scuderia so I could only use the Ricambi Challenge hook, which in my opinion is not as "legit" as the official 430 Challenge hook =)

He is also offering an F1-type LED blinker for the rear tow area if you're looking for the full-on F1 race aesthetic...I saw it in action on a CS just 2 weekends ago.

I had the CEL come on again on my 360 so I took it to Tony for a P2177 code on the right bank. After doing several tests to determine the cause of the problem, Tony discovered that the right fuel pump was not holding pressure. While the car was there, I had Tony replace the left fuel pump and the float for the fuel gauge which never went above 3/4 previously. I also had him fabricate the K40 remote to fit in the ash tray, all which came out great! Lastly I had him install white LED lights in the engine compartment which looks absolutely amazing. All of the work was done at a very reasonable cost and extras thrown in like having the leather conditioned and painting a scraped rear brace.
I cannot say enough about how great a guy Tony is and how fair and reasonable his prices are with an attention to detail that is unmatched.
    Thanks again Tony.

The proverbial Scuderia evap leak made an appearance earlier. Tony took the car in on short notice, found the source and turned it around to me later that same day.

You heard it hear first, same-day service w/o prior appointment for your Ferrari. As with my previous visit, walked away very happy :)
