OK, off topic, but the above comment reminded me of a 430 I was considering. It too was a planter: Image Unavailable, Please Login
My neighbour parked his 348 & 360 outside in the snow ALL winter. Not a single care was given. To some, it's just a car.
Harsh Anyway, sure it's not a fiero, heard they're becoming pretty rare now, all been turned into something else. The donor car's probably a 355, 10 a penny, but the owner wanted something with a bit more style, substance and penashe. Maybe the OP can check if it's an automatic (or F1 or whatever you guys call it) or if it's got girly steering or pointlessly complicated suspension aimed at the 'less able' driver (more or less how LdM markets his cars I think), any of these would be a dead give away. p.s. For you other 355 guys out there, clearly just pulling his leg.
I'm heading that way Monday or Tuesday on business. Will definitely stop in and prove if it's real or not and talk to whatever answers the door. more pics too
If parking the 348 outside in that little tidbit of weather is causing you all to have panic attacks, then don't even bother looking at this thread. This owner doesn't even have a garage. Just leaves his 430 outside year round! lol http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/360-430/267932-ferraris-snow.html
Why would you buy a car like this or the 348 , when for not much more money you can find one for sale that someone rubbed it with a diaper ?
Why does this car remind me of the stolen Ferrari racecar that was sitting outside to rot (literally). Stealing it although wrong was the best thing to happen to that car, it's beautiful now of course.
Let me get this straight: You're going to bother this guy because of what he is doing with a car he paid for? Or am I confused - did you buy this car for him? Are you the Defender of Ferrari Welfare Superhero or something?
I see your point, however I just wanted to start some discussion re: thoughts on leaving a Ferrari outside year around. The only reason I would bother him would be to see if it was for sale. Perhaps he's looking to unload it at a bargain price. You don't know until you ask. And no I don't wear a cape
Larry, if you do wear a cape....PLEASSSSE post pics All jokes aside I am curious to know the story. I bet the car is a bag of dirt.
sorry guys, winter storm cancelled my meeting. Schools & many businesses closed. The car is aprox. 1 hour from where I live.... to be continued
Thanks for clearing that up. I jumped to conclusions and thought you were one of those nuts that would actually go to someones house and complain that their Ferrari is outside.
No, just one of those 'nuts' who would buy one that had been. Just kidding Larry, like you said, could well be a bargain The only thing I'd say is that most people agree that these cars aren't particularly good if they're left damp over a long period of time. I'd be very surprised to find the electrics all working well and as advertised. Still, like you said, if you don't go and look, you'll never know.
That's what I like to hear. Concerns of what to look for. I see electric issues are not just prone to the 308's lol
