That place has been there forever. I remember when it was $6.95 and I cried.

Glad to see they are still pumping it.

Some of my local 76 stations carry it, but of them some have replaced this offering with diesel since there is now more $ to be made there... It is a VP Racing product, but sold by 76 - 100 octane unleaded. In my area it is $10/gallon as well, interestingly, more expensive than at the race track...

The closest Gas station near my house (76) has the 100 octane. It's awesome to have one right down the street. But the only problem is... I spend ALOT of money there!!!!!

holy crap! There's a few Rebel stations in Vegas that dispense 100 octane. When I was home in Jan, it was like $7 a gallon. Since my CS is tuned for no cats and 93, I have to mix 8 gallons of 100 with 12 gallons of 91 to make a safe 94.

That is because the VP 100 race gas is smog legal. The 100 you get at say Autoclub speedway is legal for race cars only. That is why you have to sign those papers at ACS to get it and the guy has to make sure you are putting it in a racecar with a cage not a hot looking waxer's streetcar. I looked into buying VP illegal race gas in 55G drums but the cost was not much cheaper than at the track so I never did it.

At over double the price of premium I leave my racecar ECU's set for 91 pumpgas. I'm not sure how many HP's that cost me but my wallet is happier. I only get 2 laps/gallon and that's on a lowly SCCA T2 vette with no aero!

My impression is that the VP 100 you get at 76 and the VP 100 you get at WSIR or BW is the same, although less expensive at WSIR/BW.

Well maybe it is? At WSIR and BRP you don't have to sign anything maybe because the VP100 streetblaze is a carb legal fuel for all engines

At ACS they use Sunoco and maybe they don't have or don't buy a carb legal 100 octane fuel hence the signing you have to do to get filled up there. If ACS is buying a non carb legal VP fuel it is probably C-10 which is the same 100 octane but non-oxygenated.

The VP100 is an oxygenated ethanol enhanced fuel to make it carb legal. So VP is sort of cheating to get the octane up so we buy it. If I'm paying over $8 bucks please at least give me real gas.

With the price being $10/gallon, obviously not a lot of fuel gets pumped. I wonder how much the octane drops from when the gas was manufactured until i gets into your car.
