Craigslist: This is a 2010 Ferrari Enzo "Reproduction", not a kit car | Hooniverse

The funny part is not that someone would try and build this thing, but that someone actually thought someone else would be willing to pay $19,500 for it.

My concern is people actually thinking that monstrosity looks like an enzo!

The biggest problem is that he was using one of the "tooned" hotwheels cars as his guide.

Clearly this guy wasn't working from any sort of full-size template, but there are some aspects to his work that are (bizarrely) more accurate than I have seen in other replicas.

Personally I'd rather have a nicely sorted Fiero with an LS1 transplant over this $heetbox (for about 13k less).

Smaller wheels = less rotating mass. I think he's onto something.

Jeez, that's UGLY. Although, I suppose the guy is not what I would call untalented. Keep in mind most crap replicas are fiberglass, but if the builder actually hand formed those curves and shapes out of raw sheet metal that takes at least some modicum of talent. Of course, one should not confuse metal working talent with TASTE. One should also not confuse metal working talent with artistic design talent.

Here's my thing. If the guy is going to build a fireo based sports car that looks nothing like an Enzo, why not just go ahead and make it look NOTHING like an Enzo? Then people might praise your craftsmanship skills instead of making fun of your crap-tastic "Enzo" replica.

Craigslist seller, I rode with Jim in P4/5. I know P4/5. P4/5 is a favorite of mine. Seller, your car is no P4/5.

Or an Enzo for that matter.

If it weren't for the "Enzo" name, and if it had a less curvy roof, and it had a chassis, suspension, and wheels under it to fill those wheels, and it had a proper engine, it could be a cool looking car.

As is...a partially finished project car is pretty much worthless.
