I was planning to keep my car until I could save up enough to upgrade, but I have to sell some toys in order to do some property refinancing while the rates are at an all time low. The interest rates appear to be on their way up now, so I cannot wait and I want to pay down my principals as much as possible because these will be the payments I am stuck with for a very long time. I am going to liquidate all my toys, put it into principal, and then I will have to start all over on toys from scratch :( The good news is I will have more spending money per month and my interest rates will barely be over average inflation. Unfortunately this is the wisest decision long term and someone else is going to benefit from all my hard work and money I poured into the car for the last year making it "Well sorted".

I typed up an add and threw it on Craigslist locally to see what happens before I start paying for advertising or using eBay. My add is very honest and open and I feel priced very well for what your getting. This car has nothing to hide, needs no work other than some minor paint blemishes that need a dab of touch up paint that I have not gotten around to and the bumper has scrapes on the bottom from dips and a some scratches (like most of these cars seem to get since they are so long and low in the front). No one has ever mentioned these, so I assume the average Joe does not even notice.

You can see by reading my posts on this forum all the work I have done. This car has all of Ferraris problems corrected, including the expensive valve guides, exhaust problems etc. The major service is also done with all the best stuff, and bearings etc. Anyway, I am not going to go on too long here. You can see the add, and ask me if you have any questions. I have everything I have done fully documented and can provide a spreadsheet with all the info as well as any pictures you might like to see.

I tought I made a crazy bargain picking up my 355 for only 35k. I then put 30k on it to bring it back to glory.

Today, one can own a car just as good (except the paint) for just 42k...unbelievable.

I think this is a good deal, should sell quick. I'd have total confidence in your car. Good luck with the sale.

Thanks. I am pricing it well below what I have in it. Anyone that takes the time to search my posts will know that and should feel way better about buying this car over some unknown at a random dealer or individual that has no history here. I did not do any of the work with the intentions of selling it any time soon and I did not short cut anything. It was all done right.

As for the paint, I was just going to have a local reputable shop repaint the bumper at some point and then make some touch ups with the paint they had mixed up. I just never had time yet, and it seems like I always end up getting a little rub on the bottom of the front bumper somewhere when I take out. These are ridiculously easy to rub even when your trying to be very careful. It does not take much of a dip at all. Then I am always thinking "that sure would have sucked if I just re-painted this bumper". Makes me kind of glad to just leave it alone since no one ever seems to notice anyway. I would definitely buy some of those aftermarket skid plates before I ever drove it again after repainting the bumper. I have seen a couple others since I got mine and they had skid rash on the bottom also. Most seem to just consider these normal marks of a driven car I think as opposed to a concourse trailer queen. I am kind of picky though and did intend to correct it once the weather got better and I also had some skids pads in my eBay watch list.

The new owner would be wise to just drive it a bit and learn the boundaries before getting the bumper painted. I have honestly never had anyone notice, I think they are just blinded by the yellow and the fact that a Ferrari is so rare around where I live. The last thing they are looking at is the bottom of the bumper or for a little rock chip on the wheel well lip.

This would be a great car to buy. Wish I had someone to refer to this spider.

Good luck. And let me know if you'd sell the door sills apart from the vehicle. I'd make an offer.

Sadly I think the car is worth more than $42k although I completly understand your pricing sometimes it's better to get the money and move on rather then sit on the car and wait for the right buyer.
You should have no problem selling it.

Just to be clear, does this car have a rebuilt/salvage title?

No problem. I am hoping to sell it to someone here who will appreciate it rather than go on eBay. If there is no action in the next week or so, I will probably list it on there though. I hate to pay all their fees and then you get a bunch of people who know nothing about these cars.

Does it really? I believe everything I read online. :)

The pictures of the welded seem hardly look like accident damage I can't imagine the car was salvaged for an A-arm and some little bumps...
Jevs can you clarify any of this?

I believe the control arm was damaged and replaced and the rocker panel on the drivers side. I cannot find any signs anywhere else and I had all the front trunk carpet pieces out, the drivetrain out, all the pans off, the interior out, and all the inner fender wells off etc. You would be surprised how little it takes to drive an estimate sky high on these cars and the accident was in 2009 so it was already pretty well depreciated. If you pressed them they would be forced to include those panels that the pinch welds are part of in the estimate rather than straighten them. That would be big bucks. You can see that pinch weld goes all the way around and it is bent flatter more behind the tire. If you had a perfect Ferrari and something happened, would you want it fixed cheap, or estimated for every part that was touched?

Anyway, the pictures should speak for themselves. There are no signs of repair in the sheet metal. I traced the car back 2 owners and what I see pretty much matches up with his story I was told of what happened before he got it. So, you just have to take it for what it's worth. I did not know the guy that had it when anything happened and have no clue who he was.

I will leave that for the new owner. I will say I had lots of interest at this asking price. I had to let a couple guys know it sold this evening that were seriously interested as well.

Is it staying in the Fchat community? I'd be very curious to hear from the new owner about their experiences over time, given the amount of work you had put into sorting it out...
