Fire, accident, non-professionally rebuilt (guessing) and an owner who cares that much about it that he looses the keys so leaves it out all winter rather than getting a new set sorted (if that really is the reason). I may be jumping to conclusions here but, to me, it's screaming "walk away" so loudly I can hear it all the way over here in Blighty.

 

No doubt she has NOT been treated with TLC & appears to be significantly neglected, very sad treatment of a Ferrari!

I am willing to bet the person that owns the car doesn't know a thing about Ferraris and only bought it cause it was cheap (fire) and he thought it was cool.
Of course this is only a guess...

Its not yours it is his, I don't recall signing any paperwork when I got my Ferrari that it is not to be left outdoors.

No better than the democrats trying to regulate what we eat, drink arm ourselves with or do with our lives or better yet our cars.

The damn things come with weatherstrip and windshield wipers for a reason.

 

Johnny, it's just possible he's joking. I think it's a shame when someone leaves a ferrari out to rust, and Ferraris of this age do rust pretty well. It's not just the whole Ferrari thing, although I'm a bit of a fan, it's because it represents what would be someone's 'dream car'. Just seems a pity.

Did he really paint the front grille silver? Hood yo!

 

Think so. This mod was doing the rounds a while back. Got to say, not really to my taste tbh.

 

It is a silver mesh insert. There was an F-chatter that made a similar insert for placing behind the original grille, completely reversable in about 5 minutes.

Funny to read this thread. This guy is someone I have known for a long time. He's a great guy, and this car is now being restored locally at RSP. I saw it, still needs some work but is looking great.

Also, this car was outside when the snow came very quickly and V hadn't cleared the garage out yet to make room for it he does care haha

 

This thread was worth a bump just to see that bird sittin on that fender again.

Everything else just doesn't matter
