    Yes, that is what I and my friend already did except we were using differnet ways. I was using certain hardware treatment to clone my working black fob to another bought fob. My friend was using his working red fob to clone another bought fob. Hope I understand your advice corretly.

    It sounds like you are saying there are two different methods to clone

    One is presumably similar to eric355's 2006 original in the how to clone thread

    But what is the other ?

    Yes, only if we think my friend's case is true.

    I am following eric355's thread to clone. That is a great thread and I learned a lot.

    As far as I were told, my friend was using the other way, the red fob. However, I do not have too much detail. From a result perspective, what I can confirm is he does have another working fob using his way.

    I know my friend's case is indeed very different from up-to-date wisdom, and this is why I need comment for my two differnet propositions.

    Considering the risk of misleading others, please disregard my friend's case until I got more confirmative detail. Thanks.
