Awesome. Speaking of GTO, I stumbled across these pics tonight, http://www.oldstox.com/images/ferrari%20whose%20gto590.jpg & http://www.oldstox.com/images/mike%20parkes%20UDT%20ferrari591.jpg. first pic: second pic: source page: Stock-Car Racing in Britain - Automotive Oddments Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Evel owned two Daytona Spyders - 14737 and 16835 - both in the 1970s. Which might this be? 14737 was originally painted Argento 106-E-1 (silver) with black interior. At some later point it became red/tan and, more recently, silver/tan. It was completed in November, 1971 and Evel owned it from 1972 to April 1973. I would guess that it was probably still silver during Evel's ownership. I don't have original colors for 16835, but today it is red/black. My guess is that this is 16835. Anybody able to confirm or know otherwise?
did he put non production mirrors (2 as opposed to 1, and not the typical circular chrome rear view) on this car?
Did a little research and it turns out that Montana didn't introduce this particular style of license plates until 1976 (to celebrate the bicentennial). This helps to eliminate 14737, so I'm filing this one under 16835, unless someone has additional information to show otherwise.
I can only find 1 photo of 0592CM from the Costa a Costa Mexico 1964 race, and it's in black and white. Does anyone have a good picture of the car from that race they could share?? Eveready was the sponsor. Thanks in advance. We are researching for a decal project. Tom Tanner/Ferrari Expo 2013-Chicago March 23rd 2013
Yes, that was 14737, as I mentioned above. Since making this post, I have learned that 16835 was indeed red/black from new, originally owned by James R. Levitt of Levitt Furniture fame, and sold to Evel in 1976. Evel kept it less than a year (the story is that his injuries made it difficult for him to enter/exit the Ferrari) before selling it to disc jockey Frankie Crocker. I would say that this indicates that the car in the image here with "EVEL" plate is most likely s/n 16835 and that the image was taken in 1976.
Levitt of furniture or Jumpin' Jimmy Levitt of Leavitt & Sons the home builders. Jumpin' Jimmy lived in LA for a number of years and had a number of different Ferraris. Jeff
