    I like the turtle beach x41 headphones with Dolby digital and chat volume control. Sound is almost as good as a real 5.1 system. Eats batteries though.

    Pioneer elite sc65 has nice game mode. Bumps up surround so you can hear those zombies sneaking up from behind. Kicks up the bass so those grenades really, well, grenade.

    After many frustrating hours going in circles with nvidia, I just give up on 5.1 hd audio over hdmi. What a mess. Installing a creative labs sb pro card & driver solved the problem. Fortunately I ran a couple extra cat5 cables, so using a gefen optical over hdmi adapter working flawlessly.
