WARNING - York & York Appraisers

I guess many appraisers got out of the business few years back in the bad economy, but now with the low interest rates there is a shortage. We did some home improvements last year and want to get an updated appraisal. I went to http://www.yorkandyork.com/ and as they recommend on the website "more efficient" to submit an online order. I took 20 minutes and filled out several dozen fields on the online form about a month ago. I hadn't heard anything in over 3 weeks so called in. They told me they aren't accepting individuals.

1) They push online system as more efficient, but if I would have called in 3 weeks ago they could have told me no capacity.

2) Nowhere on their website or the online submission did it say they weren’t accepting new clients. They let me submit the dozens of fields and wasted my time.

3) It is beyond unprofessional to not return contact, especially on something as formal as an online submission form.
