Michelins. PERIOD! Pirellis are NO comparison at all my friend. Had P-Zero and hated them (noise, bad grip), went with the Pilots and Bammmmmm! Huge difference.

Have always had ps2's as my street tires. 997 c2s, 997.2 gt3. (3 sets of wheels, two with Hoosier r6 for track, one with mich ps2 for street) and on my f430. I have a 987 as a daily driver and now have super sports, a big improvement over the already excellent ps2.

My 458 coupe is on order with super sports, it's now status 20 so I should know in a month or so.

Saw piles of tires for a 458 vs MClaren track event.

Ferrari factory team used Michelin Super Sports.

The Super Sports are way better than the Pilot Sports!

Note that all the 458's offered by Ferrari for the magazine tests are supplied with Supersports. They appear clearly to be the best ultra high performance street tire, currently.

Michelin's technology is superior and when $$ is no option, Michelin is almost always the best.

The caveat is to determine the objective... race vs. street are very different as those who track their cars well know

Michelin Super sport is the best street tire money can buy. It's actually cheaper too. Amazing tire that performs well in many conditions.

Pzero is better than some people make it out to be. I love mine. However, it does become slippery at wet and cold weather easier compared to Michelin.

No experience with S001. It's too limited in size.

Hi to all, I am a Superleggera and Elise owner looking into 458 now. Anyways, my feedback on tyres:

    1. Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD08 (wear rate is good enough, verygood grip on dry)
    2. Yokohama Advan AD48 (wear rate is quite high, be prepared to change them - grip on dry is extremely good, thou you need to heat them up)
    3. Proxes R888 exactly the same story as AD48s, but if you prefer this Toyo as a brand.

NOTE: I have Neova AD08's on my SL in 305 as a size - which I guess will be ideal for 458s as well.

PS. Michelins - there are Pilot Sport Cup which are super also

My research so far shows that the PS2 is the older tire, heavier and $500 more expensive for a set.
