    Huh?

    You don't like Hamilton?

I'm confused. I thought you wanted MB to move forward. He is their best asset.

Sorry if my post was confusing. I'm good with Hamilton. My spray painted pic was meant in a literal sense 'go away' because Mercedes are the only team not showing anything during the setup of their cars, and I mean nothing. No pics, peaks, nadda today. Red Bull doing the same.

And I actually believe Aldo Costa is the most important addition to the team with Lewis possibly being a close second. We will have to see how he performs and aids in developing the car.

And Lewis' dog Roscoe is the third most important addition to Mercedes. No doubt a media hound (intended)

F-pilot thanks for the pics of the cars being set up. Nice to get a peak at the bones of the cars.

That would certainly stir things up!

Agree with you guys, Australia has been too much of a wildcard in the past years to really show the pecking order. Nevertheless, I'm really looking forward to it :)

Big agree re Costa; RB would be nowhere w/o Newey. Costa looks like he has improved MB but I'm still thinking Newey's da man-or at least until Byrne shows up fulltime.

its my little sanity break also lol.

As an aside, Costa grew up down the street from my wife's relatives in Italy. I hope MB finishes second in both the WCC and WDC.....

Gotta love it! It wasn't that long ago, according to many here, that Costa was the biggest waste of oxygen to have ever worked on a race car...... ;)

I'm sure if I could be bothered I could dig up loads of posts to this effect; "Costa's useless and must be fired". "Costa's only around because he's Italian" etc etc.

    Now, he's a hero! :D

One guy that does seem to get a "free pass" though is their current (past 3 years?) chief designer, Nick T. He hasn't exactly set the world alight, so I guess it's down to him keeping his mouth shut......... A lot to be said for that. ;)

    Cheers,
    Ian

Is it just me or does the Ferrari bodywork pictured here have an even lower exhaust exit than what we saw during the last Barcelona test?

Seriously, it looks different to me.

Things do change quick around here......but Costa was what merc needed because he always produces cars that can keep his tyres instead of eating them!!
I´m also hopping to see if Massa's (inf)amous thread will be resurected or if i'll be able to create something similar dedicated to Alonso :)
AS fo the race not really sure, Felipe never had any luck in Oz but i feel The Ferrari will be quick.

Finally an article regarding Mercedes' suspension. Fascinating. 4 tenths quicker in one sector with it at Barcelona (sector 2). Amazing. Evidently they're saying the two slower 180 degree turns in sector two allowed it to display its mechanical dominance. They call it 'Fric' and only Mercedes knows its real name......... but it's possibly 'front and rear interactive control'

Ist Fric der Trick? Mercedes-Geheimnis im Fahrwerk - AUTO MOTOR UND SPORT

Button came out today and said Mclaren could not match Mercedes speed during testing......
