    Q. Can you confirm my suspicions that the F430 Ch & 360 Ch share pretty much the same gearbox? I.e. Is it just the gear ratio's which are different on the F430 Challenge vs the 360 Challenge box?

    ...Only reason I ask is they look spookly similar to a 360 gearbox to the untrained eye!

    We discovered that the 1st/2nd synchro was installed backwards in a previous rebuild (not by us). That error eventually destroyed the synchro, and removed the necessary clearance for reverse, which therefore lead to the bearing cracking and overall failure.
