I am interested in knowing the differences and/or similarities between the 8CM and 4CM- other than the engines, of course. Pictures would be appreciated.
    Best regards,
    Anton

    Anton,

major difference was the 8-cyl.-inline- (8CM) to the 4-cyl.-engine of the 4CM.
Other changes was the different measurements of both chassis. The 8CM was the bigger car.
While the 8CM came in 2 different chassis configurations (early narrow chassis vs the later widened frame) the engine size and capacity was always the same while the 4CM came in two engine configuration (1100cc and 1500cc).

The 8CM was a GP-car while the 4CM was always more for the Voiturette-races.

Most of the 8CM had the same coachwork-style while with both 4CM-versions the coachwork differs quite often.

1st photo shows an 8CM and 2nd photo the 4CM.

Thank you, Walter for the fast response. Is there any book dedicated to these 4CM, 6CM and 8CM cars?
    Best regards,
    Anton

The only books that features the 8CM is from Denis Jenkinson "Maserati 3011" that is deticated to that VIN (ex-Whiteney Straight car) and the new Swiss publication "Der Maserati 3015" by Bernard Brägger. That book tells the story of chassis #3015.

    No publication reg. 4CM and/or 6CM...unfortunately!

Thanks again, Walter. I do have the "3011" book.
I guess I'll just have to continue my research. Do you have any idea how many of the 8CM and 4CM cars survive?
    Thanks,
    Anton

Walter, 3013 was for sale with Fantasy Junction in 2001 and with Thiesen in 2004/2005. It was at Essen in both years. These are from 2005. Edit: now I see you have 2 serials with 3013?

#3011 is owned in the UK. Not with Peter Giddings anymore
    #3015 is owned in Switzerland

why do you list the 6C-34 here???

Not sure about the 2nd Straight car, chassis #3012. Heared that this is more or less a replica.
